We had the best time at the Whale on Main! Communication was excellent, we were welcomed so warmly by the host (including a glass of Gluhwein!), and she even upgraded our room at no cost! Fantastic local recommendations, cute little honest bar, great reading options, and an OUTSTANDING breakfast cooked to order! Attention to detail was everywhere and we can't say enough about this place. It was just fantastic! Our only complaint is that we only stayed the one night. Thank you for everything! We will be back!!

The Whale on Main is a beautiful house decorated in a modern style. The balconies had sun lounger or chairs where you could sit and relax.
The owner, Tanya was very friendly and was always ready with advice on where to go for activities and recommendations of local restaurants. It was lovely to be able to walk along the cliff path which is just over the road.

We were made welcome from the moment we arrived by both our hosts and their staff.Accommodation was clean/tidy and to a high spec.Hosts were happy to offer advice on anything at all.The property is a stones throw from the beaches and wonderful cliff top path.Lovely brekkie.

I think the guest house is perfectly situated half way between the shopping areas and beaches . It has direct access to the cliffpath for a walk or run with beautiful views of Hermanus.
The hosts are very welcoming and you really feel at home in their spacious and modern house. The breakfast was delicious! We had a very good time.

Nette Gastgeber, gutes Frühstück und bequemes Bett. Das B&B liegt ca. auf der Hälfte des Cliff Walks zwischen Stränden und Zentrum von Hermanus. Für eine Nacht waren wir sehr zufrieden.
