The hotel room was small but was tidy and A/C worked well to keep us cool during the hot evenings. It's close to public transit and city center.

The hotel is well-located, easy to find, and clean. Items like towels, toilet paper, and toothpaste are easy to find without needing to contact the front desk. It's a good palce to stay.

It’s a small place to stay in but for the price it was very good. The beds were decent and bathroom not to bad. Good for a quick stay or don’t mind staying in a cheap cramped place for a long period for just sleep then it’s perfect. They freely supply extra needs and front desk workers were so nice and helpful.

Could have been better if they could provide more clothes hangers. Had to ask for a mug as ther was only one for 2 guests. The staff member was reluctant to provide another mug. Staff member was grouchy and unfriendly.

Room was tight for a couple of people with luggages but it was manageable and OK for a few nights stay. Hotel is a little on the older side but room and bathroom were clean. Daily housekeeping not provided but they had clean towels for you to change out when needed. Our only problem was the AC didn't blow out any cold air and there was no way to change the temperature or speed so we mainly had it on to circulate air. Thank goodness it wasn't too hot when we visited Seoul or else the temperature in the room would have been unbearable. Hotel is located in an alleyway but I never felt unsafe and it was conveniently located close to the train station.

If you do one thing in your life— listen to this review. The walls are ENGULFED in BLACK MOLD and hidden by wallpaper. There was black mold on the bedroom walls, washroom walls, ceilings, shower curtains. It’s disgusting, the building is paper thin. I have NEVER stayed in a room where you can hear your next door neighbours PEEING, flushing, pooping, talking, walking— you name it. You can also hear conversations from people across your room and upstairs too. Staff is meh, they moved us to a different room AFTER we said something, but I do not trust that any of their rooms don’t have mold. She was acting shocked and asked if we peeled the wallpaper… like you know what you’re hiding don’t pretend 💀 Wouldn’t classify this place as a hotel. Closer to a hostel or shared accommodation since it’s just 2 floors of rooms shared with other “hotels” in the same building. Not worth a penny unless you’re debating between this and a hostel.

A simple hotel, but I loved how easy it was to walk everywhere—restaurants, 7/11, trains, etc. It was quiet, felt safe, and while the room was basic, it was comfortable and cool when needed. The staff were friendly, and I have no complaints at all!

The rooms are small but very functional. Once you get last that, the location is convenient and the staff is very helpful. The lack of window may throw people off, but you get used to it pretty quickly. Specially after a tiring day out!

We had a no window room. Walls are paper thin; we could hear 2 neighbours very clearly, would have been 3 if we weren’t on a corner room. Extremely small room, our luggage took up half of the floor space. Beds were pretty bad, you can hear the springs as you move around for example. Hot and not enough air movement; we had an AC unit we had to always have on and it was hard to control temperature. Shower curtain was dirty with mold; couldn’t find a replacement as it was self cleaning service. We just didn’t use or touch the curtain. Shower temperature really hard to control, 1cm to far and it was cold or boiling. Free laundry which was awesome, but only 1 washer and dryer; got lucky since no one was using it when we did. Location was great; close to great restaurants, convenience store, all transportation. Self service station was close and convenient; like towels, garbage/recycling, etc. Lounge was decent; clean water dispenser, plenty of seating, microwave. Wifi was good. Stayed as a couple the access card has to be inserted in a slot when you enter the room to turn all power on, subsequently turned all power off when removed; was inconvenient when one person wanted to leave/stay. Overall it was ok, but wish we did more research before booking, no refunds.

For starter, this is more like a guesthouse than a hotel. You have to change towel yourself etc. However, there is room service, which you have to request physically at the lobby. Wall is thin, like if you have sex, people could literally hear outside the door. But once you inside, you can't really hear outside. Room is quite big for the price I paid, with mini fridge and decent space to pack my luggage. Location wise, it's 5 min walk near City Hall (green line) and Hoehyeon (Light Blue Line). About 10 mins walk to Myeongdong via above ground or fully sheltered. Also about 15-20 mins walk from Seoul Station, so I recommend you to walk here if you coming from there. You will walk pass Seoullo and Namdaemun Market. Food wise is good, there's a popular jap ramen stall just outside the building. Also a 24 hours must try kimchi soup place within 5 mins walk. Past night to about 1-2am, there will be lost of street vendors selling good BBQ food, also must try.

We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. Finding the hotel with Naver was easy. Just make sure to look for Irene City Hotel and not Irene Hotel. The check-in was a bit confusing. When we got there, there was no one at the front desk. However, there were 2 room cards that we tried and managed to find our room on our own. The room was perfect if you plan to use it to keep your luggage, get ready to spend the day outside, and sleep. The only thing we struggled a bit with was communication. The front desk was always empty except when we went to check out at 11 am. And when contacting the property via chat through Expedia a day before our arrival and during our time there we didn't receive a reply. This is important if you do not have a phone line service to contact the number provided. Overall it was very convenient location-wise and provided everything we needed during our stay.
