ibis Styles Ambassador Seoul Myeongdong

Property is on a busy highway and is separated from the Myeongdong shops. The bathroom walls is made from cheap looking plastic but is very clean. I would not rate this as a 4 star hotel.

It was in a good area! They treated us very good and the rooms were really clean! Would stay here again. Awesome experience!

Right in the midst of myeongdong, so very convenient.

location is excellent, its near to the following: bus stop to and from the airport, train station, shopping, street food, etc hotel staff: not so friendly, prefers Caucasians and looks down on brown colored Asian descent. I heard this about South Korea but I did not believe it. restaurant staff though were excellent. They treat everyone the same. the food were good. a few variations every day. to sum up, I probably won’t be going back to South Korea.

Staff are very professional and able to help us to take care of our backpack and items and they are cheerful and polite

Mr Chan, the front desk manager, was very professional and helped us on the places of interest and getting around. Want to commend him for his helpfulness!

The front desk clerk forgot to charge my stay so they called my room twice at 12:30 am then 1:30 am , demanding me to cone down or I had to get out of the property. The next day I plugged the coffee pot in outlet and it blew the circuit with sparks and the whole electric out . Engineer came and fixed it later. They advised me not to use the outlet.

What I like about this property is its close proximity to myeongdong shopping center, namsan tower, and subway. The facilities is excellent. The restaurant at 22nd floor has a great view and food to offer. I will definitely go back bext time I'm in Seoul.

Walking distance to the Myeongdong station. Most of the pick up area for tours are close to the hotel

Great location. Literally 2 blocks if that from the meong dong street market. If all you need is a clean place to sleep I would recommend. If you are the type of person that needs all the bells and whistles I would look else where.

I liked the location. My room and bathroom were smaller and tighter than I expected.

Great location and value for what you pay. The rooftop bar is nice but a little pricey. My only complaint is that the rooms are starting to show their age.

Its a very convenient location, close to different stations. If you like to sleep in then i would pick a different hotel as theres some construction around but overall not really a bother. Great overall

The room has window but it’s blocked for construction wall so I didn’t have any sunlight for 4days. And they never mentioned about that. It’s totally different picture from website.

Generally this is a positive review, but first the major con, noise, you will need earplugs to stay here My room was on the 19th floor (the highest), and was facing the street. The glass is single pane and: - Seoul drivers blow their horn constantly - Some vehicles have especially loud exhausts fitted - At midnight, there is a someone manually directing traffic using a loud whistle - This is a major road, so the traffic doesn't calm until about 2am - Other odd noises I did ask at the desk about the noise but was told that as I was on the 19th floor the noise would probably be worse on other levels. I suspect the main issue is because of the single pane glass, the window is the same size as the room. NB I also had a hotel in Busan which I noticed had the same kind of glass so I suspect that's a Korea thing Now the list Pros: - location. You couldn't ask for better, it's a 5 min walk to the tube, and the tourist part of Myeongdong is pretty much right there - I had issue getting a taxi on my last day but the staff were very helpful and sorted me out straight away - The rooftop is nice (and is open) - Breakfast was great - Shower was fantastic, full size and powerful Cons - It has an ice machine in name only. There's just one, and on the ground floor, and dispenses something like 15 cubes every 30 or so minutes (there's a sign on it to that affect). It didn't work once in the time I was there - Gym. Tiny - Noise! NB none from inside the hotel itself

Excellent serivces very clean and friendly staff, helpful staff
