Kimchee Busan Downtown Guesthouse - Hostel

Door isn't unsmooth so make the noise and hard when open.

Travelers were friendly. Staff okay, they just do their work. Bathroom dirty and some water taps were broken.

The location of the hotel was not the same as maps but luckily a guard from another hotel directed us! Other than that the location to bars was good, the hotel provided easy directions to follow to the tourist attractions and laundry service was good! Wi-Fi not great. Overall worth the money paid.

The place was smelled disgusting. I went to my room and didn't even want to put my things down on the bed. Ended up not staying there at all

Location is great. Common areas are a lot smaller than it appears in the pictures. Its also not that clean. Bunk beds were shaky when going up and down the ladder and even moving from side to side on the bed. Staff were okay. One was friendler than the other. Personally preferred not to deal with the staff. When asked about guided tours, they didn't have any recommendations. Facilities such as the showers and toilet areas were okay but could be cleaner, in my opinion. However I suppose for the price point, it's fair... I was rather disappointed in my overall stay here. I would not return to this guesthouse.

My only complaint about the place was that the bunk beds were awful. They're the pitiful aluminum ones that are definitely not built to hold a full grown human. It felt like trying to sleep on stilts. I'm a small gal and I was still terrified I would knock the whole bed over climbing into it and anytime I moved or the person on the bottom moved it was like we were being hit with a 9.5 on the Richter scale. It was the worst sleep I'd gotten in a long time. The rest of the place was nice though. The bathrooms were spacious and clean, the common areas had awesome decoration, and the place was packed with friendly people. Change those bunks out and I'd go back.

It is near a Subway exit n makes traveling easy.clean rooms & bathrooms ,well maintained. Staff were very helpful. I will recommend for anyone who's visiting Busan

Great people with a great facility!

Great guesthouse, on a quiet street and very close to the subway station. Seomyeon was a 10-15minute walk and 1 subway station away so very handy! Bathrooms were great, the room had a lot of space even though it was 10beds, would definitely stay here again!

Was a nice little spot with friendly people. A definite for solo travellers and those on a budget. Worth every penny.

Ideal location, easy to approach upon disembark from Beomnaegol train station.

This is a big facility! 7-8 floors. this made it a bit impersonal for me. The facilities themselves are fine. The 6 person dorm room was small but clean. Lockers (bring your own lock) are too small to fit a lot of bags which meant they were on the floor cramping an already small space. Beds were comfortable and aircon effective. Bathrooms are modern, clean and showers good. Common area is not large enough and doesn't really promote a social atmosphere for me. Location very convenient for metro line 1 and lots of buses. Easy to get around. About 15 minute walk to a good dining district. Overall the place is ok. I'd probably look for another place next time but would consider staying here again.

The hostel is just around yhe corner from yhe metro. The directions they provide take you straight there.Staff are friendly and the room eas ready so they checked me in. I was then straight back out using the underground using travel tips they provided. On my return i ate at a nearby resteraunt.All in all a handy stay

In love with Kimchee guesthouse!!! People there are friendly and cool! You cannot miss it if you wanna meet new friends there. Everything is well situated! Clean and nice bathroom, comfy bed, playroom, spacious common area, with elevator. It is close to the metro just 3 mins walk! 10 mins walk you can get to the down town Semeyon! Staff is super nice with good English! Staying in this hostel was the best part of the trip!

I stayed for just a night at the Kimchee Busan Guesthouse. The people working were helpful and overall the rooms and the toilets were clean. The only thing that bothered me were the lockers. In the room I was sharing with a view other girls not even one of the lockers was working and I think that is something that should be fixed, since I did not know any of the other girls and you never know what could happen to your stuff. That is why I always had to keep my important things with me, which was inconvenient at some times. Since I was staying here for only a night I could live with it.

Staff are friendly and able to speak English and location is convenient. However hostel policies are horrible: there is a "locker scam" (hostel doesn't provide actual locks for lockers in dormitory and tries to sell you locks) and "key deposit". Hostel tends to get noisy at nights ("keep noise down after 23:00" rule is not enforced). There is only 1 elevator and common space is small and inconvenient.
