El Guarapo Apartamentos

A nice apartment in a good location, but it lets itself down with the lack of available sunbeds - mainly because of the usual selfish 'hoggers' that leave a towel on them even when they're not using them. There seems to be no attempt by the management to stop this. A photo (9.30am) is attached of 14 sunbeds 'reserved' but with nobody on them, or in the pool.

Lovely little complex our room was on the ground floor over looking the pool which was a request by me & it was lovely. We had a comfy sofa nice chair tv everything you need in the kitchen the bathroom was big lovely shower. We had our own boiler so plenty hot water. Boiler was in a cupboard which was good for storing cases. The bed was a big queen very comfy The reception messaged me after our 1st night to see if all was ok & did we need extra pillows lovely touch i thought also it was a quilt on the bed. Plenty of storage space & shelving in the bathroom. All the staff were very friendly. The pool bar is only small we had a burger & fries our 1st day it was lovely he only did burger or hot dogs. We were given a complimentry drink while waiting for our room at the bar. They were very good at getting our room ready early as we travelled from PDC after having a week there first. It was our 1st ever visit to CT we really enjoyed it. The new bus terminal is just round the corner Playa Bastian also 5mins. Out of apartments turn left come to a concrete path leads straight to the Spa across the road also shops bars & the square all in 5 mins. So very good location. Overall a very enjoyable stay

The one bedroom apartment was fine for a week, having everything we needed. Overall, the environment of the complex is good as is the local neighbourhood and amenities. There is a nice tapas place called La Aulaga just down the road and many other choices within a short walk.

Kitchen well equiped. Very friendly syaff. Accommodation clean and comfortable. It was disappointing that the poolside bar closed at 4pm

The property is well run by happy staff. It is clean , peaceful and conveniently situated .

La habitación estaba sucia, los pies sucios de sólo andar un rato sin zapatos. Al abrir la cama pelos y el sommier hacía tal ruido al moverse que no pegamos ojo. La zona huele a alcantarilla. Al quejarnos en el checkout, por WhatsApp, porque la recepción abre pocas horas, ni una disculpa, nos echaron en cara que habíamos pagado poco al haber tenido una oferta de Expedia. Francamente horrible mejor evitar este alojamiento.

Pool cold no ocean view at this establishment but short of nothing. Very comfortable.

Lovely 4 night stay, however, sunbed war was quite stressful. We counted the amount of sunbeds around the pool and there is not enough for the amount of rooms. One access door was locked to the pool but another near the pool bar left open so people were not adhering to the 9am rule., which is madness as the pool bar opens at 830am for brekfast. Instead of asking for 2 euros a day for a sunlounger to be placed on your terrace put more around the pool !! Food was brilliant at the pool bar, very fresh ingrediants. Room was nice, but missed air conditioning but there was a large fan, unfortunately to noisy to use. Would I come again? Maybe if the lack of sunbeds were addressed.

Hotel was very good location. Staff very friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night but the apartment was well equipped and comfortable had we stayed there for a week! We will re book to stay again.

Why ask about a dishwasher, der is that going to change peoples mind to stay with El Guarapo Apartamentos, I know not. We found the El Guarapo a very nice place to stay and would book in there again. Not sure why the pool bar was very limited to opening, poss out of season tho.

The apartments are fantastic. Clean, well equipped and comfortable. Service at reception was excellent. Quiet neighbourhood.

I think changing sheets once a week is terrible,and when asked for clean sheets to do own beds,was informed cleaners decided wether needed or not 🤔so no clean sheets for a week 😞

The apartment is a good size with nice furnishings and plenty of kitchen equipment. The complex is quiet with lovely gardens, a heated pool and a pool bar which closed after breakfast at 10.30 then reopened from 11.30 until 4pm. We found the location was ideal with plenty of shops, bars and good restaurants within easy walking distance as are the nearby beaches. All the staff are very friendly and helpful, checking in on line makes it so much easier on arrival and there was plenty of communication from the team via WhatsApp. We enjoyed our stay at El Guarapo apartments and would return. Some minor negatives are - the level of cleaning could be improved, just mopping floors does not remove food debris, hair etc. The bedlinen was not replaced during our 9 day stay although towels are changed every 2 days. The pool bar was closed after breakfast for 4 days of our 9 day stay due to staff shortage although the barman was assigned to garden duties instead on these days. A pool bar is a facility we look for when choosing a holiday resort to have lunch and drinks so the closure was somewhat disappointing.
