Great waterfront property

Everything was just perfect. The staff was king and helpful, food was excellent, room and bathroom very elegant and comfortable.

It is a beautiful hotel with a great history and stunning location. I stayed here in May when the hotel and general O Grove area is still quiet. This suited us. My parents considered changing their plans and staying on longer as they loved the location so much.

A well-kept and beautiful Grand Hotel with magnificent views of the bay, a lot of charm and tradition. Ilsa la Toja is also a great starting point for visiting other parts of Galicia. The staff are very professional, service-minded and made the experience even stronger. Will definitely go back!

We had a wonderful stay here, except for one issue: dinners. The views are breathtaking and we really enjoyed the pool and spa. The staff is super friendly and polite. Breakfast is excellent and there are good gluten free options (as in the rest of Galicia). However, there is not much around the hotel, it is a place you go to get away from everything, and therefore we expected a reasonable dinner option to be available at the hotel. It wasn't. Dinner at the main restaurant was served from 9-11pm (with reservations). This is not inclusive of many foreign guests like ourselves who eat dinner much earlier. So we were left with the hotel bar, and there the food was absolutely terrible and overpriced. I'd read about this in previous reviews and unfortunately it's true. One night in we realised we'd have to drive to the mainland for dinner for the rest of our stay. We would have also appreciated a kettle and teacups in our room. This being said we loved our stay and would return, but taking into account the inconvenience of dinner. It detracted from what would otherwise have been a 5-star stay.

Staff were amazing. Obviously just coming out of COVID but everyone went out of their way to help us.

Fantastic place to relax. The beautiful view, the pool, and the amazing food and service created great memories. We will back for sure!

Toilets are too close to the walls and very small

I took my 84 year old mother & 2 adult children, 23 & 22. We all had a great time :- the relaxing spa, lovely pool, beautiful cocktails in the bar, fantastic breakfasts & great staff. Great food in the gastonimuque centre of Spain- seafood & tapas in O Grove are spectacular & not expensive . Also fantastic beaches in the region whether for walking, swimming or surging in the Atlantic- go!

The rooms and areas of the hotel in bad condition. The bed had dirty linen and mattres in real bad condition were you sunk in the middle.

Pleasant stay at an old school upmarket hotel - lovely setting, delicious food and service you'd expect. Worth noting that the use of the indoor spa facilities (even just the pool) is in addition to the room rate.

We stayed there during the weekend and had breakfast at the hotel, which was very good. It is very beautiful to take a walk around the island (bicycles available for this purpose) and visit Grove. Several nice restaurants around with traditional dishes from Galicia.

LOVELY LOCATION. BEAUTIFUL HOTEL WITH APPROPRIATE FACILITIES

We arrived at the hotel in the evening just 5 minutes before the close of the restaurant. The hotel staff kept the restaurant doors open for us and made us feel very welcome. They were patient with us to guide us through the menu and very attentive to all our needs. Aspects that are worth mentioning are the cleanliness standards of the rooms and the overall experience at the breakfast table. My only criticism is that the rooms are not adequately sound proofed.

Lovely hotel in the town of O Grove (PonteVerdra Providence) Spain. The hotel overlooks the water and is a short walk to the center of town. Weather wasn't great, but the comfort and friendliness of the hotel staff made even the rainy days pleasurable.

The best there is in Galicia.

We stayed here for a couple of days before moving off to Northern Spain. We wanted a couple of days of luxury, which we got to an extent. The Spa was excellent, but the food was disappointing (we were half board). Th room was nice, and the communal seating areas were lovely.

Es un hotel genial! Todo el personal es muy amable. Desde el señor que te ayuda a sacar las maletas del coche hasta Claudia de la recepción. El desayuno es muy bueno y variado. Las habitaciones son cómodas, silenciosas y las instalaciones del hotel son geniales. La piscina exterior así como la interior son grandes y tienen el agua a buena temperatura.
