Hotel Plazaola

Very nice, clean, functional hotel close to the highway. Perfect for my road trip. The staff is very friendly. I couldn’t ask for more.

Checked in by a pleasant young lady. I said we were travelling with our dog and she changed our room from 105 to 220. No explanation but I didn’t ask… I had to sign a document Ref the dog. Went up to the room via the lift, found the room. Double bed, wardrobe (lit up) , tiled bathroom. What you expect. It was clean and warm. We couldn’t take the dog into the restaurant so we put him in the car (policy states that a dog can’t be left alone in the room in case it gets stressed and disturbs other hotel guests) Our dog travels a lot and is used to the car. We ate in the restaurant had the entrecôte. My hubby sent his back as he likes well done. He tried to explain this to the guy in the restaurant and he took it away no problem. It came back cooked to perfection. It wasn’t a problem. The bed was comfy and we got a good nights sleep. We had breakfast. The usual fayre. More than adequate. The checkout process was easy. We got in the car and carried on with our journey. NB: €7.27 was changed for the dog.

Really wasn’t expecting much, but it was a great room set near a lovely walk through the hills. Amazing food and wine in the restaurant in the evening at a very reasonable price.

Very good and comfortable hotel

The hotel and location looks completely different than on pictures - online fantasy! Please check on google map first as the hotel is location in the busy comercial area. Very strict pets friendly policy, additional forms to sign. Also, extremely basis breakfast, the worse I was experienced so far. Never again.

Was a regular hotel

Excellent rooms, very comfortable beds and large bathroom with separate shower. Was a little worried on Sunday evening as restaurant was closed but ned not have been as cafe bar served Excellent food. Waitress Idoya was very helpful and coped well with a busy evening. Little bit disappointed that buffet breakfast was not available this morning but otherwise excellent

Been here before its always good, had 3 courses in the restaurant with a nottle of wine for a very reasonable price, dog friendly too.

We always love having a stop over here. The hotel is great but some of the bathroom fittings are looking worn & scratched now. They need a bit of attention to improve the standard back to how it was!

The hotel was a little dated, the pictures are older but the staff were really friendly, the food was good in the restaurant too, great overnight stop. Also a pleasant surprise was the car charger in the car park which I didn’t see mentioned anywhere. Wenea charger offered various options.

Just love it here. Friendly staff, good service. Good choice of food in the restaurant.
