Oxford Suites Santiago de Compostela

Don’t stay here. There are no staff on site. No support available. We stayed for two nights and could not shower because water was cold. I send a message about this to the Whatsapp number provided, there was no response. Wifi was not working for half a day and again there was never a response to my message. The only good thing about this property is the location as it is next to the Cathedral. The pictures of the property are misleading. The room and bathroom is small. This is like a rooming house not a hotel and there is no support on site or by phone. You have to fend for yourself.

Oxford Suites is attached to a small cafe and both are run by the same staff. The staff were very helpful and happy to help me get situated. It's located literally down the street from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela, so it's a great stop for any pilgrim needing a nice night's rest once they have completed the journey. The room was small, clean and perfect for what I needed. There wasn't any air-conditioning but the window opened to a shaded alley. I'll likely stay there again since I travel to SDC regularly.

Overall great for a single night stay. Small room, and bed was a little squeaky. Pleasant surroundings.

The location near the cathedral is hard to beat. The staff were very friendly and openly helpful and we really appreciated that. The little restaurant serves simple but tasty food and caters to locals at an affordable price. They have obviously spent some money on making a stylish space and rooms. Our biggest issue was the plumbing leaked on the bathroom floor, covering at least half the floor, during one of our two stays over the period of a week. I have no idea where the water came from. We WhatsApp'd the 'emergency' number (though it wasn't an emergency) to notify them. There was no response which was dissappointing.

The gentleman managing the rooms was very helpful, friendly, made an effort to communicate…
