This was our first stay at a Melia hotel and we were very impressed. The hotel was in a good location and the room was excellent. Staff were helpful and friendly and everything was seamlessly efficient.
The only two downsides for us were the fact that the rooms and the pool areas were only in sun for half a day, so to sunbathe within the hotel environment was not really an option - at least not for very long. The beach was a 2 minute walk, which is fine for beach-lovers!
The other minor irritation was an entrance door by the main swimming pool area which led to the seafront. It was constantly being banged open and shut as people went through. A small fix could probably solve that one!
We will definitely use Melia again - and in fact are about to book the next one - but probably wouldn't return to the Alicante one for the reasons given.

Overall very good. A couple of points to consider. The adults only isn’t strictly true. There are children around the main pool and in the restaurant that you have to go to get your half board evening meal. Also in the restaurant the meal is included in your package of half board but the drinks aren’t not even a glass of water.
The adults only section is on level one of the hotel where you can drink and eat and have the canapés and snacks. This is a lovely space with amazing views but you aren’t allowed to take drinks to your room and no refreshments around the pool area unless you buy your own. I highly recommend this place but be mindful of the all inclusive label.

Beautiful rooms and plentiful alcohol but the food options were limited for vegetarians. We had paid extra for a suite because the photos on the website indicated that these had a large balcony with a sunlounger on which would have been ideal for sunbathing as one of us has limited mobility. Unfortunately, we had two small balconies with chairs. Not an issue for many but not ideal for us.

The check in and check out is complicated. The reception for the level is really far and hard to find from the front of the main hotel, there is a level check in at the front of the main hotel, but no one was ever there. Check out was just as bad, we had to track all through the main hotel to get to level reception. They were short staffed and we had to wait to check out for over 40 minutes.

This property is located in a great location. The views are wonderful and easy to get to. The morning breakfast was phenomenal; they even had warm oatmeal, which I only find in great hotels like the Melia. We will be returning and were sad to leave. I booked two rooms for my husband and I, and my two adult kids. They loved it! I based my experience a lot also on theirs as well, and they enjoyed it a lot.

Aunque no está en playa uno puede disfrutar de la misma al dar la vuelta al hotel - la playa es pública pero toda la gente que va son clientes del hotel ( uno se da cuenta por el tipo de toallas )
Caminas a la esquina y está el boulevard donde hay todo tipo de restaurantes así como la oficina de información turística. Muy fácil de manejarse dentro de la ciudad. Utilizamos los servicios The Le el que son un poco más exclusivos y da mucha privacidad. Volvería ✅

The hotel has decided that there is no air conditioning as it is still just spring. it was over 25C/77F in the room, south facing. A fan was provided... Still over 23C in the morning. Nice hotel but if you want a good night's sleep, choose somewhere else. Hate to imagine what it would have been like if it had been warm outside...high was only 22C

Excellent hotel, fantastic service and great location. We stayed in the Level and believe it was excellent value for money. We were well looked after throughout, the hotel was immaculate, all the food excellent and a great drinks selection. The hotel offers easy access to the beach and Alicante itself. Would recommend and would happily stay again. Only issue we had was that the Expedia page states they offer free airport transfers. The hotel do not offer this so this should be removed from the page on here.

Very disappointed. Because of renovation taking place on The Level we were given a standard room in another part of the Hotel despite the fact that when we booked the room in August 2023 we were told when we arrived that the work had started before then. In other words we were conned.
