A beautiful old quaint hotel. The staff were welcoming and very helpful and the rooms were clean, beds comfortable and a huge bathroom. Breakfast was excellent. This is not a chain hotel so accept that this hotel has character.

Malin, the front desk attendant, was superb. She welcomed us, told us about the accommodations and services, recommended car rentals and restaurants. She made sure everything from the beginning to end of our stay was wonderful.

Central Visby is noisy in the evening, so this hotel is of course affected, but the location is great for daytime. The staff are super friendly and helpful,and the whole place was spotlessly clean and in great condition, no signs of wear and tear. Comfortable beds, and although not a huge range for breakfast, the selection was fresh and tasty.
Lovely decking area at the front, for breakfast, or a coffee in the afternoon, away from the crowds.

We walked to the hotel from the ferry port and it was quick and convenient. The lobby was open late for us to check in easily. We stayed in one of the apartments and the staff had it prepared for us with 4 beds. We were pleasantly surprised with a full kitchen and washer and dryer. The breakfast was simple, but good. The only negative was that the internet was not very good in our apartment. We had to go to the hotel lobby to get good wifi. Staying inside the city was an incredible experience. We loved the hotel and would stay again.

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is beautiful and convenient. We stayed in the 1-bed apartment for 4. It came with full size kitchen, huge bath, washer/dryer and a cute balcony. Friendly staff and yummy breakfast. The apartment is right next to a popular night club. We were there from Wed to Fri and they had events with loud music every night until 2am which could be a problem for someone who enjoy quiet night.

The hotel was located in the middle of all the restaurants and activity. The desk staff was excellent and most helpful. The free breakfast was also great.
Booked three rooms for my family and they all loved the stay at this facility. Highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is in a great location. The only issue we had was with the location of the rooms and the stairs. They put us in an annex behind the main hotel, which was not a problem, but we had to go up very steeps stairs and there was no elevator. If you have any mobility issues (my mother uses a cane and had to navigate the stairs), it could be an issue. We did not let them know ahead of time that we had accessibility needs as I assumed there would be an elevator. But the rest was great.

If you are a light sleeper - stay away on weekend. Disco music, deep base boom - boom to as late as 2:30 AM. Heavy sleepers were less bothered.
Management response was unfortunate - they could not do anything. They had contract with the Disco operator. Sleeping guests is not a priority on weekends. Great place on non weekend days

Terrific old-school resort town hotel experience. Calm, collected staff, with a sense that an austere Swedish old order is somehow looking out for you. Solid furniture and great room temperature, despite the cold.

Perfect location in the center of Visby. Staff was very nice and helpful. We stayed in the Economy Room and the only issue was the rooms were warm in August with no air conditioning. However, there were fans but would prefer air conditioned rooms which I will make sure to check for next time.
