EMA House Hotel Suites

Large two room apartment, close to the main train station. Very Very nice, clean, comfortable and large updated bathrooms. We had two bathrooms. My Family really had a good time. The staff was helpful and gave us a coupon to the Italian restaurant, it had very good food at a more reasonble price for Zurich. It is a good location to take trains to Luzern or other locations. Much more can be said, like the many amenities of the apartment and the good location. So it is worth the booking and I would stay at this location agian.

We were upgraded at checkin to the 1 bedroom unit with built in laundry unit. The property looks to be a conversion from residential address to hotel. As a result, the unit is spacious. The downside is the lack of a gym, but that is fine given the convenient location right near one of the tram stations. Walking to the main train station is also relatively quick; doable in 5-10 minutes depending on walking speed. The staff were friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff were quick and efficient as well. Parking is an additional fee, but once you find the entrance (at the back of the building), you’ll likely leave it there for the entire stay like I did. We had the in room breakfast one morning and that was fair value, just very bread heavy. The kitchen comes at an additional fee if you’d like to cook. However, given the convenient location, that seems unnecessary. A very enjoyable stay and better value than the nearby Marriott if you value space more than amenities like gym and onsite restaurant.

The hotel’s location was decent, around a 10-minute walk from Zurich centre. The room was generally clean but noticeably dusty in places. The biggest issue was the staff, who were consistently rude, dismissive and unhelpful, making us feel unwelcome throughout our stay. Whenever we raised concerns, they showed little interest in resolving them. We booked a Junior Suite based on the advertised photos, but the room we received was much smaller and more cramped than expected. Our friends booked the exact same room type, yet their room was significantly larger and had a far better layout. When we raised this, the hotel insisted the rooms were the same despite the obvious differences. They offered to move us to a larger room the following day, which would have meant repacking and disrupting our trip. It was only after I asked about other options that they offered an immediate upgrade at an additional cost or for us to leave after a long day of travel, which we didn’t feel was fair. The advertising is misleading regarding the washer and dryer. The Junior Suite listing suggests these are included, but it doesn’t make it clear they’re shared facilities downstairs and only available in-room in Executive Suites. We also witnessed staff being rude to other guests who were repeatedly dealing with maintenance issues, reinforcing our impression of the poor customer service. Misleading advertising, inconsistent room standards & poor hospitality mean we wouldn’t stay here again.

Very friendly staff

The 2 bedroom executive room was great for our family of 5. The room was clean with plenty of towels and cleaning staff was great and really nice. There were no hotel amenities however. It states that there is a wonderful breakfast in the description but I guess since we booked the biggest room with a kitchen they told me that we were provided a kitchen so they don’t provide food. Big disappointment since this hotel is very secluded away from grocery stores and restaurants. The tram stop is right out the front door so that is very handy and a plus for this hotel. If we were ever staying in Zurich again I would not stay. It’s far away from restaurants. But if you want a more secluded area and away from hustle and bustle it is fine. Just really lacking in the little things that make it a nice stay. They provide coffee in the rooms but it’s terrible half and half/ minimal sugar packets. A coffee station at the front desk would be nice and water bottles to go would also be nice.

The hotel is in a great location and made it easy to get around. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The biggest downside was the bathroom. It feels dated, with only a handheld shower head and a very small shower curtain. Every time we showered, water ended up all over the bathroom floor, which was inconvenient. Other than that, we had a pleasant stay.

The hotel is great. Breakfast is brought up to the room if you include this and it has plenty of options. Location is good, quiet along the water. There is washing machine in the room which is fantastic.

The staff is super helpful. We walked into the EMA serviced apartments instead of the hotel during check-in. The staff could have given us directions. Instead they came to pick us up! The breakfast in the apartment was provided at the promised time everyday. Loved the spread. Great hospitality and experience all around!

The room was plenty spacious for three - my daughter was excited to have a room to herself. It was sweet the way breakfast is brought to your room to be served. The lady would brought the food each morning was very nice as was everyone at the front desk. Thank you!

Large rooms. Comfortable bed. Large living room. Fast WiFi. River views. Safe, quiet neighborhood. Highly recommended.

The room was amazing. Extremely spacious. Having a washer and dryer was very helpful. I loved the balcony. The bed was comfortable. The staff was great.

We had a fantastic stay in a two-bedroom suite. It was very comfortable and fully equipped with great amenities, including a kitchen and a washer/dryer, which was so convenient. ​Location: While it’s about a 15-minute walk to the city center, there is a tram station right across the street, making it very easy to get around. ​One suggestion: It would be great to have Smart TVs for international travelers, as most of the local channels were in a language we didn't understand. ​Overall, a great experience and highly recommended!
