Hotel de la Paix offers a reasonable price, a perfect central location, clean and simple rooms. The staff were genuinely kind, and breakfast was fresh. A charming and comfortable stay.

Stayed here for two nights while visiting nearby attractions. Nice hotel and staff are excellent. We left our suitcases before checkin and when checked later, all suitcases were moved to the room. That is excellent and thanks to the staff. Room size was good don’t feel cramped even after the suitcases. Location is great, little walking needed from Luzern station. May be 15 min across the bridge. Close to many restaurants and shopping streets. Breakfast was included and good choices for a nice breakfast before starting your day. Liked the coffee area near the lobby. Lobby area is small which is understandable in older architectural buildings, liked the coffee corner there. Overall loved our stay.

Nice clean room with balcony. Wonderful breakfast especially the cost of food is expensive. Free fast for public transportation is very useful. Lounge has coffee and hot water. Location is very close to major attractions.

Great location in the old town. Room was clean and had a large balcony with view of town. No balcony furniture. Good stay for the cost. Front desk attendant upon arrival was not very friendly, however the attendant leaving was. Room was clean with basic amenities. Ice machine and coffee/tea available in lobby which was nice to have. Breakfast area was within a separate attached building and seemed nice although we didn’t utilize it. Building lobby/halls seemed run down. Fire alarm went off at night and had to be evacuated luckily it was not a fire and returned to our rooms.

The front desk was very helpful, they allowed us to drop the luggage due to earlier arrival and sent them to my room before we checked in. They have a Terrance as a shared area and we were able to eat there and had hot water. Very convenient location.

Very cute older (but well maintained) hotel, it was perfect for us. The location was the best part being walking distance to the train station, the lake and old town. Not to mention the cheese pies from Chas Barmettler across the street. The room was spacious and clean, cleaned daily. We used the safe in the closet for our passports and cash. The staff were incredibly friendly. Free breakfast was delicious, unlimited cheese, yogurt, ham, vegetables, fruit, fresh baked bread, coffee/ espresso machine with all the fixings! We stayed in early June, weather wise wasn’t hot just humid from rain. The room didn’t have AC that was working due to being under maintenance but just using a sheet for covers helped, we still slept great. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend if you are looking for a great price point.

Good place to stay downtown, close to the train station and most of the must-see sights and shopping area. Good, clean room. Coffee and tea available in the lobby. Good breakfast and they even recommend when to go based on the volume of guests in the restaurant at various times of the morning. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately it was hot and there was only 2 tiny windows so we didn’t get any air. It was miserable. The property is an excellent location, but bare bones and old, not well maintained at all. If you want a bed, bathroom, no AC and dated this is your place at a premium price this is your place.
