Hotel de la Paix offers a reasonable price, a perfect central location, clean and simple rooms. The staff were genuinely kind, and breakfast was fresh. A charming and comfortable stay.

Fantastic location within walking distance of the Lion Monument and the Old Town. Even though it’s an established hotel, the rooms feel modern, large, and very clean. We loved the Swiss-style breakfast, especially the variety of cheeses and fresh bread (plus gluten-free options if you ask!). The staff was super helpful, and the stay was absolutely worth the price.

This was the only hotel in Switzerland that actually had both modern cell phone jacks so no adapters were necessary. That’s really quite helpful when you’re traveling.

The room was fairly clean with the exception of a bathroom that had moldy tile snd needed updating. It was very spacious though. The rooms were not air-conditioned which I didn’t realize when I booked it, but there was a nice breeze and you could open the door to the balcony. The staff made it all worthwhile with their helpful tips and answered all of our questions. The location is very convenient to the river, transportation stations, and restaurants. We did not make use of the breakfast because it was quite pricey with limited choices. But we would stay there again and recommend it to others. Good space for the price!

Breakfast had good selection of breads. Really liked the fresh pineapple and blueberries too. Could use more hooks in room and bathroom to hang towels and clothing. Our room had a cool night light with 4 usb chargers that we plugged our cords into. Enjoyed the coffee and water in the lobby.

Clean room, bathroom door couldn’t fully open as so close to bed room small but fine for our one night stay. On 5th floor great views from small balcony..but could not see the lake as said in hotel info. Close enough to walk to lake promenade easily. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Hotel in good location but very basic accommodation. There was a tea/coffee machine & water at reception but no kettle in room. When machine was out of order I was given a kettle on request. There were facilities in the breakfast room but to get to the breakfast room meant going via an outdoor corridor in the adjoined Ambassador Hotel which was poorly lit at nighttime. They sent me atravel card via email but not till halfway through the stay & had not told me about it at check in so didn't get chance to use it. Rooms had TV but limited reception for the English speaking channels which seemed to work better during the day but not at night. Overall it was cheap with good location but felt more like hostel than hotel.

Great location. Clean room. Good shower. Friendly staff. They also have a tea and coffee machine with hot water to make bottles for baby.
