Overall the stay was good. The hotel has amazing breakfast.
The room is bit outdated, need some change in the carpet. The carpet was old and dirty looking and there is a stain on the bed cover.

My college friend and I had a wonderful stay at the hotel overall. Though there was a typhoon passing through we were still able to enjoy and entertain ourselves without leaving the hotel grounds. After a good swim, we followed up with some spa time and a massage. We are only small disappointment is everything closes at 9pm around the hotel including the hotel restaurant (there is no hotel cafe)! And in the morning there is only a breakfast buffet option and you can not order a la carte?! Very strange for a hotel of this caliber to not have more food options.

The hotel is a little bit outside of the city. They do provide a free shuttle bus service from and to the airport, train station and night market / city center. The concierge is very friendly and helpful. Nice hotel!

We loved the hotel. Rooms were large and clean. Staff was wonderful. Hotel bar was not open until 6, if it opened at all. Staff would find us beer and wine and bring it to us in their café. It was hard to find something to eat late in after. There was not much to do near the hotel.

I certainly think it is the best hotel in Hualien eventhough when I booked, I took a risk of not knowing/not having stayed in Fullon Hotel before. The building is majestic, the hotel layout is grand and beautiful and the rooms are also very comfortable. The service provided by the staff are also quite good. If you are holidaying in Hualien, I believe this is your best choice! The rest of the hotels are really small.

The hotel is outside of downtown Hualien so it was not very convenient, but the valet staff was very helpful and always made sure that we had a hotel shuttle to drive us to where we needed to be, free of charge.
The room was not big, but for two people there was enough space and we felt comfortable. The room was stayed in was at the end of a wing (think the room number ended with 06 or 07, but I don't remember which floor it was). The WiFi was very weak in the room. With a Windows laptop the connection was okay, but the iPad could barely detect any connection. Otherwise, I don't have anything bad to say about the room.
The lobby, while it looked good aesthetically, had a very unpleasant sewage smell that permeated throughout the entire lobby. It was unpleasant enough we talked about it among ourselves.
The last thing was the breakfast, which was served buffet style. The quality of food was mediocre at best, even for their Chinese/Asian cuisine. I would not pay extra for breakfast as part of a bundle or separately, in retrospect. Unless, of course, quality of food is not of concern.
The hotel overall is good and I would go to stay again assuming the price is lower (not worth more than $100 in my opinion), the smell is gone, and WiFi in the room is not an issue.
