This hotel needs to be deep clean.
They give us room at the 8th floor which super dirty. Went to front desk and ask for another clean room. They move us to 12th floor which looks like newly renovated . Still i will not comeback in this hotel...
Staff was very nice, keep saying sorry to us.

Great value for price and location being right beside Taichung's main train station with easy access to other transport (ex. to Taipei HSR station, Sun Moon Lake, UBike station). Room also had good view of the nearby plaza beside the train station. Free breakfast had a good selection of hot foods and drinks, including pork or chicken + veg noodles, stewed and fried vegetables, congee with various toppings, hard-boiled eggs, toast, soy milk, etc.

The hotel is very near Taichung TRA. Recommended for visitors who came in to the city via the train since it’s super easy to find and walk about. The MRT is not yet connected to all parts of the city making bus as the main transport. The place is near to the bus stops to sun moon lake as well.

8 storey hotel right next to the Taichung railway station so very convenient. Plenty of restaurants and shops around. Lot of homeless people sleeping outside the station and this hotel. Great 2nd floor breakfast room with street view, but breakfast was only ok. Eggs and vegetables or noodles. Coffee, toast and jam and juice mainly with fresh fruit. Ok for a few nights but not much to see in Taichung.

Convenience location. Warm people. Our short story goes.. we came from Singapore looking for a type of candy but in vain. The people at reception counter were remarkable, going the extra mile to tracking down the manufacturer, make calls to pin down retail outlets but they were sold out. The offered at cost from their own limited stock.

Good value-- The room was small but had everything we needed. We didn't have to pay for any extra space or fancy amenities that we didn't need. US$60 is a very reasonable price for this level of quality.

We really enjoyed our stay here, their staff are very nice, room is big, food is good and the location is the best, 3-5 mins walk to Taichung station. Until next time Butler Hotel. Thank you for making our stay comfortable and for your free snack everyday after cleaning our room.

We were in Taichung. Room was small for the price paid compared to Kaoshiung. Shower was next to the window. There was only a wash basin and no space to put our own toiletries. But Staff are very courteous and helpful. Location is very convenient.
