Summer Moonlight Vacation House

Breakfast was excellent and made to order, wonderful hospitality, unique presentation and delicious. Room was very clean, well decorated and spacious. We’ll definitely stay in this hotel again if we visit Tai Tung in the future.

Lovely hotel with big rooms, comfy bed and exceptional breakfast. It is out of the main town area with no shops around, and the hotel doesn’t provide lunch or dinner. Great location in quiet area if you have a car or bike.

Host is very warm, hospitable and a super-b cook. The breakfast is excellent & above my expectations. The room is pleasantly decorated.

Everything about this small hotel was amazing... The room was incredibly clean, well equipped and complete with numerous amenities. The service went well beyond what is normally expected and breakfast was delicious with more choices than expected. What a gem of a find on our tour of Taiwan. We were wishing that we stayed more than one night. Our thanks to the staff who worked hard to make our stay memorable.

Very nice hostel experience in Taitung city! When I got the phone call from the hostess in the morning, meanwhile still having lunch in Kenting, I was very impressed and believed it's a great beginning. Indeed, we were enjoying a very cozzy, stylish and friendly stay in the well designed villa! And the decent couples of the hostel is definitely the main reason for us to come back again in the future!

I have been traveling by bicycle for thirteen months around the world and have stayed in hundreds and hundreds of hotels. This is one of the very best. Why? Let me count the ways. The bed is super luxurious, super comfortable. A great sleep--always the most important thing (The road is a little noisy during the day but quiets down to next to nothing in early evening). A very good sleep. The room itself is well appointed and well decorated and well stocked with snacks and drinks. The room, indeed the whole hotel and its beautifully maintained lawns, is spotlessly clean. The breakfast is superb. I stayed three nights (the ferry to Green Island can be capricious, and the National Museum of Prehistory is a real gem if your ferry is canceled for weather) and had the excellent buffet when there were many guests and the truly superb breakfast plates when there were fewer guests. Truly a fine dining experience. For breakfast! And the proprietors are just lovely. Clearly took great pride in their small and modern and comfortable hotel and its food. They were warm and welcoming and nice and gracious and helpful in every way. Just super and lovely people. And, if you are on the road on your bike every day, you can have your clothes laundered--how wonderful! I wish I could stay at Summer of Moonlight every single night--it is first rate in every possible way. If you are in Taitung, do yourself a favor and stay here. You will be very happy if you do.

Very clean. Nice food. Comfortable and friendly host. She plants her own dragonfruits, which were lovely. She also offered to do laundry for us. Just beware there's no lift and no fridge in the room. This b&b is close to the Aboriginal restaurant in Taitung.

Great place with very attentive host! Very clean room and bathroom. Five star amenities. Super comfortable bed. Awesome breakfast. Amazing hosts! They even prepared an early breakfast for us so we could catch the early ferry to Green Island. Taiwan hospitality at its best :)

Our group of 16 all enjoyed fully Summer of Moonlight. It is so perfect and the patio is a bonus for us to unwind and get together for a drink after a day touring beautiful Taidong. Breakfast is out of this world with the hostess personally cooking with such heart and passion. The day we left which is 7 am, the hostess prepared a deluxe bento box for us to enjoy on the road, we cannot thank her more. She tends to our each and every needs including picking us up from the ferry to and from island of Lui Tao. Taidong is beautiful and Ms Li has complimented our visit, cannot ask for more and we appreciated her attentiveness. Will surely recommend to families and friends and would come back to stay.

I have been to over 100 countries and always stay in places between 3 and 5 stars. This is honestly the best in terms of staff, food, comfort and service. Candy and Tony are the kindest and most giving hosts you will ever meet. The breakfasts are the best,they will drive you around orlend you their bikes. An awesome experience in taiwans friendliest city.

Great hospitality, super clean room and facilities.

The host is exceptionally helpful and kind. Absolutely loved the breakfast, the host did laundry for us, room is very clean. The only downside is that the duvet is too thick, air-conditioning makes the room very dry for us but seems like that's the norm in taiwan. Overall, it was a such lovely stay that we want to come back again.

This is our second time to stay at this B&B. Everything is just as wonderful as last time. The house manager did a great job to keep this B&B nicely maintained and clean. We had a good stay here.

A little distance from the city and train station, it is a nice house situated amongst farmland. The hosts are a young couple who were so very lovely and attentive to our every need, including driving us to and from town and the station, even late at night. Breakfast was personally made by the host. The rooms are extremely comfortable, and everything is nice and new. The bed was very comfortable and the area was very quiet - best night's sleep on my whole trip but we did have to kill 32 flies prior to going to bed. :). Don't know why they are listed as 2.5 stars - it really was better than some 4-5 star hotels which I've stayed in.

Definitely one of the best stays I've been in longest time. The owners were very friendly and extremely helpful that I really thought they went above and beyond giving me plenty of rides to train station and city center when I needed it. The building is brand new so pretty much everything in the house is brand new as well. I personally thought the room was really big probably too big for lone traveler like me. Breakfast was incredible! Much better than any of the free breakfast I've had at other hotels. Nothing beats homemade cooking for sure. Definitely need a car or motorscooter around here without it getting around is pretty tough but as far as the hotel itself goes everything was perfect I couldn't ask for anything more.
