Lovely stay, and overall a pretty good experience. Rooms were wonderfully clean, location was excellent (Tainan is quite small), and was conveniently located near several food streets and shopping areas. All in all an excellent place.

Room is just perfect. Free bicycle is interesting feature to explore national park or go to beach. Free laundry can also be use at last floor.

The bathroom tiles were a bit dirty. The hotel needs to do a deep clean of the room more often. One morning there were a lot of ants in the soy milk dispenser at breakfast. This made me think the cleanliness of the kitchen was poor.

The hotel room was okay. I thought the tiles in the bathroom were a bit dirty and needed a deeper clean. This probably wouldn't be cleaned during normal housekeeping duties. There was mold in the shower head holder. On one morning a lot of ants got into the soya milk dispenser which led me to think cleanliness in the kitchen was poor. Other than that, the room was adequate. Staff were friendly.

Your average sort of hotel in a fairly good neighbourhood. 2 convenience stores within 5m of the front entrance, chemists over the road. The area is good for breakfast restaurants and very close to the Shennong Old Street.

The hotel is old so it has a rundown feel. Having said that, Tainan is pretty old (it's Taiwan's oldest city!) and I think you will be hard pressed to find new accommodations in the same area. So despite that slight setback, I would still recommend Tainan First Hotel because of its location. There is a 711 and a Family Mart right in front of it. There is also a bank just a little passed the convenience stores along with a department store and several eateries and a really good milk tea place at the next corner. It is very very close to Shennong Street which you can take to get to Hi-An. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and knowledgeable. Overall, it was a pleasant stay at this hotel.

Service not very good as compare to other hotel in Taiwan. They are not very friendly. The pillow is very thin and soft. Not very comfortable. Room is clean in general.

The bathroom is very small and there's hardly any room to place your toiletries or hang your towels. Close to two main streets so very easy to find a taxi or food. There is a very good breakfast included!

probably wouldn't rate it for 3 stars. room is run down although tidy. room smells like smoke (asked for a non-smoking room). shower is weak and the bathroom is very very small (I'm 182cm). breakfast is terrible... overall, I guess it's ok for what it charges...
