Villa Relax

Inconvenient for traveller without own vehicle to get there as needed to walk uphill and downhill...beware of dog too .. room is spacious and with basic amenities... Only hand towel provided instead of bath towel...water drainage flow is slow..next day morning there is a bunch of ants on the floor out of nowhere... Breakfast is English breakfast set with free flow drinks ..

Staffs are very friendly and willing to help if you have any questions. It’s recommended to drive here. It takes probably 10 mins to walk from bus station to arrive this property. Please be aware it’s not a easy walk if you have lots luggages. Mountain View is incredible in the property.

Good experience staying in Villa Relax! As I am travelling alone, I manage to get the host to arrange transport from HSR to Villa Relax. Long journey with mountainous driveway. But manage to get my direction when I left Villa Relax.

The place is cosy. Bed is too soft that it affected my sleep. Breakfast is nicely prepared. Can’t expect much for mountain area.

Do not drive if you want to stay in this gorgeous view place. You can just ask the owner to pick you up at some point because the driving road condition is pretty scarry. The road is not solid asphalt so your car can be stucked in the mud if it is raining. I will come back to stay here but I will not be driving a car.

Nice sceneries. Poor road conditions entering into Villa. Narrow road difficult to turn and our vehicle scratched at the base when going downslope. Room no heater ,only heated bed.

It has a good view, the only problem is carrying of luggage to the room is quite far away.

The room is exactly as advertised. We get to see breathtaking views at night and in the morning. The room is also clean and reaonably big for two. The breakfast is simple but repetitive so if you are staying for more than 2 nights, it may get bored after a while. You need to walk around 5 minutes to get the bus stop in order to go anywhere. Overall, I would stay there again if I am going to cingjing. The view is just outstanding and it will make you forgive and forget all the other small things.

Amazing view of mountains from the room! Good breakfast and customer service was great. If you like animals, they have plenty of pets around!

We were lucky to find Villa Relax at the last minute during our Aug 2018 trip to Cingjing, high season when most other hotels were booked. We feel fortunate we found it. Slightly off the main road (but very accessible), the hotel overlooks the beautiful valley, with superb views from the breakfast balcony and rooms. Our room was simple without a lot of amenities, but made up for it with the fantastic view of the mountainside through wall-wide windows. We had to close them at night, the morning fog was so bright. Parking was easy, the owner was very accommodating and kind, and we liked the seclusion here. It was a great deal, and we had more fun than we would have at one of the more popular hotels. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others, and would stay here again.

The villa has a nice view looking out to the mountains. It's a warm & cosy minsu, serving nice breakfast. The boss was nice & didn't hesitate to drop us off a nearby place as it was difficult for our 9-seater car to climb the slippery slope due to rain. Its definitely a value for money stay. Love their 8-month-old gigantic white dog

The hostel is not located at the main road, basically only one sign along the road. If you miss it, you won't be able to find the turning to the hostel. The staff we approached upon arrival doesnt seem friendly at all. We booked a Duplex room, 4 adults with a little one checked in for one night. There was parking on site but some distance from room. We had to carried few big luggages up a slope and climb up the stairs to reach our room. The room structure is mainly wooden based. Very noisy as we walk around the room. Lighting is another problem, only few spots with lights. Breakfast was ok but the place is very hard to reach for those who drives as there are many slopes to go through and the road is very narrow.

Location - Lodge is located in a narrow small road off the main road which is hard for cars to get in due to a sharp turn. Pretty accident prone as cars may slip off the mountain edge if they are not careful. You can walk out to the main road via a path from the back that cuts through a school compound, just a 5 mins' walk. But can be dark at night as some parts are not lilted. It's a 10 mins walk to 7-11 and 15 mins' walk to Starbucks/Mos Burger. Otherwise, there's nothing much in this area. This is a quiet area, good for a peaceful stay though. Room - located off the main house, something like a chalet style (beware of mozzies outside). Room has a balcony which has amazing views both in the daytime and night time. The bed has a layer of plastic wrapped in the inside hence it is not comfortable. There's only yellow lights in the room so lighting could be an issue if you are one who prefers brighter light. There is no air con in the room so it can be a little hot and Otherwise the room is clean, tv reception is fairly stable, the toilets are clean and well maintained and there is a good supply of hot water!

Nice and relaxing

First time in Cingjing and was looking for a minsu near Misty Plaza (where the food is). VillaRelax is located behind Cingjing Pri Sch, and one would have to pass through the school (shortcut) to the destination. If travelling by foot, I would recommend travelers with hand-carry baggage/ backpackers as luggage with wheels would be inconvenient (since there is a short distance walking on soil). Alternatively, if you rent a mini bus (i.e. OK Bus) which would send you to the minsu's lobby directly, luggage with wheels would not be too big a problem. It must also be noted that there is no lift in the minsu, and one would still need to hand carry their luggage up the stairs. Host: Minsu's boss is a very friendly & helpful lady. She is efficient in allocating my room and helping me call for a cab when i need to travel to Cingjing Evergreen Grassland. Room: The room is spacious and neat. Cleanliness can be improved due to the presence of insects. There is a glass ceiling near the window which is great for star gazing as well as sun rise. The shower is hot enough even though cold air could seep in through the toilet's exhaust opening. It gets quite chilly at night, and true that temperature difference between day and night can be big.
