Banyan Tree Phuket

Lovely property enjoyed every minute . Most relaxed holiday ever - Golf -spa - swim - Food : will come back for all these again !

Love the property. We stayed in one of the renovated pool villas which was nicely done. We could see some parts of the resort needs renovation and updating. Warm and welcoming service. Housekeeping a little inconsistent and can be improved. Restaurant bookings also can be managed better. There could more choices of outlets for lunch and due to CNY, breakfast was a little chaotic, maybe open up one more outlet to accommodate the overflow of guests during breakfast? Beautiful setting and grounds. Highly recommended.

Actually this is the first review I ever did tbh, but you guys need to hear this before booking at Banyan Tree. Ritz was fully booked so I had to choose between Banyan and Anantara. Went with Banyan because the chain is very luxury and thought it will keep its level in Phuket. Was wrong. Awful hotel, really worn down and tired. Staff doesn’t care about you, breakfast is very bad, they don’t have their own beach. Buggies are work out completely. Gym is awful. I had better machines in 1996 in my high school. You have to take a self made tuk tuk truck (it’s literally falling apart and looks like my grandfather’s cattle transportation vehicle in the 70s, they call it a shuttle here) to a near by beach club where you pay 12$ for a corona and unfriendly staff. My friend told me that in 2012 this hotel was amazing. Well, in 13 years they haven’t done anything to renovate etc. Now we are at Anantara at a slightly more expensive rate, but omg the difference is a football field. Banyan just sucks big time. If you are looking for luxury just spend a tiny more and book at Ritz or Anantara. This is not worth it I swear.

Our overall stay was fantastic! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly helpful and attentive. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa with a private swimming pool, which was absolutely perfect. If you're looking for true luxury, look no further and book Banyan Tree!

we stayed in Bayan tree hotel in Phuket for 4 days and we couldn’t be happier for staying here. the hotel and villa we stayed at was very spacious and thai/tropical style. the hotel service is one of the best available and they were always ready to serve us. The on premises amenities such as the gym and spa were very good. The breakfast has a large selection of food and looking out on the lake side which was a splendid view. I have to also thank the welcoming staff in the hotel, made the experience very memorable. Will come back again soon

It was a property where we could truly experience the renowned reputation of Banyan Tree, and the accommodation we stayed in satisfied every member of our family. The friendly service of the staff left a lasting impression. One thing to note is that I had read in several blog reviews that, when choosing a dinner course at the Saffron restaurant, there would be options for appetizers or desserts. However, on the day of our visit, only a fixed menu was served. I wasn’t aware that this had changed. The food was excellent.

Although the resort is ageing, it is fantastically maintained. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. The grounds of the resort are superb and offer a great variety of things to do. Also it’s easy to get out and see the surrounding beaches, eating and activities. We ate a few times in the resort restaurants and were pleasantly surprised at the cost to do so and the quality of the food. The room itself was great, everything we could have wanted.

Service was great. However, room cleaning staff could be briefed to care more for the customers and environment and not to throw away our plastic bag and also throw away our shower cap. A resort that claims to care for the environment should have somewhere informing customers how to indicate not washing the towels every day. Besides, it is a bit green washing to say the shower cap is environmental friendly without explaining how.

Had a wonderful week. Quiet and restful. Extremely helpful and service minded staff. Had a double pool 2BR villa with our two teenage girls and our concierge, Mo, could not have been more helpful. Had a double celebration of a 20th anniversary and a birthday, and Mo pulled out all the stops and made us feel pampered and the whole holiday an experience to remember.

It is pitty that no shuttle to outside area, like Porto. The boat and bus shuttles are only inside hotels area.

Excellent location and spacious villa, great privacy. Understaffed as it took time to check in, had to constantly look for staff to ask questions, and staff not as friendly as other five star hotels. But room and pool villa made up for it. Great bicycle rental, kayaking. Gym in poor condition and requires modernization. Food at poolside disappointing. Wellness activity amazing but should consider allowing older kids to join as kids activity too you for older kids.

Dont hesitate, this is definitely a resort you will not regret staying at. They went above and beyond. Already looking into booking here for my next holiday.
