We really enjoyed our stay here. Breakfast buffet is great. Location is near with temples. There are travel agencies as well. If a foreigner would visit Bangkok, I would love to suggest Dang Derm for accommodation. Love it here.

Because of the location, the street of the hotel is party town at night, different kinds of loud music with humongous speakers coming from all the different restaurants around the area. My friends were unable to sleep well at night. But lots of shops and restaurant at your doorsteps.

Dang Derm is right in the middle of Khaosan Road so if you want to be slap bang in the thick of the thumping nightlife then it’s ideal.
The blaring music is audible from your hotel room and goes on until 4am so be prepared for that. But if chaotic, fascinating, loud and relentless is your thing then it’s the place to stay.
There’s a pool on the roof if you want to take a break from it all and cool off from the sun and humidity.
The room was comfortable and the staff friendly, helpful and spoke good English

The staff is very accommodating and very polite and nice. I would recommend this hotel. I stayed here for three days. What a beautiful rooftop pool very clean and they took care of me like a gentleman.

The Hotel is in a area Very Busy , probably is good for young people that look for parties.

We had the premier suite which was in front of Khao San road, it was very loud, very little shielding from the sound but we had a corner unit with a wrap around porch and the people watching without being in the mess was priceless. Hotel is exactly in the middle of the action, never a dull moment.

In middle of the noisiest street and despite smokefree everyone smokes. Not great for those who don’t party. Windows not possible to open as opposite to other rooms so no privacy if you do that.

Checkin staff were good but on checkout they neglected to return the cash deposit and apon realising I needed to return and get it back. The place was dirty, as in not ever cleaned properly dirty. Ok the place is old as the name says, Dang Derm translates to Old Place, and it’s in need of a refurbishment but grime on the floor from not being mopped is unacceptable. Then there’s the water in the shower, hot then cold, hot, cold, extremely hot then cold. Not recommended.

Whilst knowing the hotel was on Khaosan road and it was going to be busier/louder we were not aware from other reviews that the hotel was on top of 3 drum and bass clubs open until 4am each night. The window slides do nothing to quieten the noise and we were at the back of the hotel where it was quieter and even then you could still feel the floor shaking from the music. The swim up pool bar advertised is closed permanently and the jacuzzi is just an extension of the pool with jets. The entire hotel is very run down and out of date, I wouldn’t recommend unless you’re planning on being out all night and not sleeping

To be honest it can be loud at night, a lot of clubs and music on that street, but I stayed on back side of hotel and barely heard a thing. Also as one local explained this Hotel is Thai Style..so if you don't like your mattress on floor and toilet and shower in same spot than this is not your place..but if you like to live more local style great choice.. Nice pool on roof with swim up bar also just regular bar on roof that serves drinks and food. Also area as alot of shops and stands, bars, clubs, restaurants and even a 7/11 across the street. I would stay again.

The noise from nearby clubs was ridiculous. I know the hotel can’t help that but they know it’s a major issue and yet refused to refund my money when I left early to find a quieter place.

Om man vill ha fest hela natten och inte vill sova något så passar detta boende bra. Men detta var inget för oss så vi checkade ut innan vi skulle, vi klarade inte en natt till utan att få sova pga av all musik utanför.
