Garrya Tongsai Bay Samui

We were extremely satisfied with our stay at Garrya Tongsai Bay. The staff are all extremely friendly, and no ask too big. Room spacious and clean, with a fantastic view of the bay. Facilities and the resort itself are of the expected quality, and lived up to expectation. I would highly recommend a stay here, and will be returning again soon.

Loved it and already miss it

Garrya Tongsai Bay Samui is a good property, very ideally suited for a quiet chilled holiday for couples or someone with young kids. Firstly the good things - Staff is very helpful and always willing to go the extra mile. Rooms are nice, sizeable and tidy. Pool and beach area is quite good. The not so good things are - limited dining options, its the bar and one restaurant. If you want anything, you need to get into town by a Grab. Parts of the resort are getting old and worn and need renovation. Last but not least, the bartender makes the worst cocktails, he really needs lessons on how to make decent cocktails

Room had excellent ocean view. It was spacious and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Convenient location close to restaurants.

Gorgeous property with the best staff. My room was gorgeous and the bed was so comfortable. The food was also phenomenal. 10/10 recommend but make sure you use bug spray!

Highly recommend- perfect in everyway

This resort is perfect for relaxing. The views are amazing and the beach water is like a pool. There is limited restaurants within the resort but there is a shopping center like 15mins or more restaurants 10mins away (driving). The service within the resort was exceptional!

Everything you need and want to do on island is here! A gorgeous property with amazing service and amenities. We loved all the activities and special events. I highly recommend a room with its own pool and outdoor bath. We enjoyed the massages and just relaxing every day so many people we met on property where repeaters and we hope to come back soon too. This is our go to place when we come to Thailand!

Do yourself a favour, stop browsing and just book this hotel. It is absolutely wonderful - we had the hillside villa with the pool and it was stunning, tucked away and private with the most amazing hot tub/bath and pool with a sea view. The whole place is nestled amongst nature, the beach is beautiful and quiet and you really get the sense of blending in with the natural environment. The facilities - spa, both pools, gym - were excellent, never too crowded and really well maintained. The restaurants were good quality - shout out to breakfast buffet in particular. Sure, the food and the spa are more expensive than going out to eat locally but nothing crazy. We were able to leave the resort and head to the nearby towns / villages easily using Grab/local taxis. Really what makes this place special though is the staff. From the warm welcome through to lots of little, personal touches throughout our stay, we felt well looked after. All of the staff were wonderful but special shootout to Kookin, Noey, Pang and the gentleman who does the Muay Thai classes (one of the best things we did in our whole trip) for really putting a smile on our face. Can't wait to come back again.

Beautiful. Very friendly, kind, and servant attitude. Entire staff. They bend over backwards for you. Difficulty communicating with some staff due to broken English. Food was great-massive spread- (but I did eat something that made me sick- like raw fish maybe-but I’m not even sure it was from the hotel and not outside ) eve fire show was amazing! A title disappointed with our excursions-like scuba trip-thought it was private but ended up with other people. Maybe just a communication issue. Another day trip was totally private which was great. You need to be prepared to walk up/down as resort is on a hillside. However, they will come and get you in a cart with a phone call.

We had the most amazing relaxing time ! All personnel were so attentive! From breakfast to the beach and spa ! Highly recommend Lush for massages she is excellent! We will definitely come back 10 days we’re not enough

Amazing location friendly respectful and helpful people we will definitely come back . We have been pumped by everyone in the hotel and felt so special . Breakfast and restaurants were excellent especially the smiley lady making fresh juices every day !!!

Every aspect of this experience was completely wonderful, from the gracious welcome to the smooth transfer to the airport. Every meal was bountiful and delicious. All staff members were incredibly friendly and kind, the classes and experiences that were offered fascinating and heartfelt, and of course, the room and grounds were all lovely. And don’t say enough good things about this place.

the hotel is located in a bay that is beautiful but the hotel and rooms are in need of a serious renovation. the rooms are outdated, with old design, dreary colors and weather-beaten baseboards. curtains rods aren’t level, bathroom fixtures are so outdated and expected bathrooms amenities are nonexistent (only shower caps and cottonballs). the liquid dispensers aren’t regularly refilled and are super old. when i checked out, i asked for help getting a cab and was told that they don’t do that, instead i needed to used the hotel shuttle with was almost twice the price. i’ve never experienced that before and i travel internationally very frequently. going from the Kimpton Kitalay to the hotel was an absolute shook and letdown. if you’re looking for a luxurious stay, go elsewhere.

Beautiful coastal location. Outstanding, friendly staff and service. Very peaceful and relaxed, never felt crowded. Good mix of international guests. Our room access required lots of steps, which I liked, but may not be for everyone.

We were two exhausted travelers when we finally reached Koh Samui after nearly two days of travel. But from the moment we were greeted by the charming young lady "Touch" we immediately felt at ease and felt warmly welcomed. Our seaview pool villa was delightful, immaculate, and so very comfortable and the entire property, including dining, was excellent. The entire staff at Garrya Tonsai Bay was wonderful and everyone was friendly, kind, and helpful without exception. Even the General Manager took the time to personally talk with us and we could see he takes an active role with all guests. One concern we had before arrival was getting around the resort hillsides during the rain (yes, we are getting older!), but friendly and prompt golf cart rides were provided upon request at any time. We'd love to return some day and give the Tongsai Bay our highest recommendation.
