Patong Lodge is on the main road, easy to find. It's real resort for relaxation with spacious area. Nice view overlooking Kalim beach. Big swimming pool & small gym room. The hotel is old, but good condition. Room is Thai style decoration.

General Check-in Instructions
According to hotel have a plan for renovation the main swimming pool and surrounding area during 7 May - 31 July July 2020, please kindly find more detail about our renovation plan as per the letter attached, and please help us to update information to your system. As the renovation will be concerned to the main wing (Superior room and Premium room), therefore during the renovation period all bookings will be upgraded to Cozy room and Deluxe room to avoid any problem concern to all guests which would be a cause of complain. However, we have the second swimming pool or Deluxe Pool, as well as the Terrace Pool Bar available to service all guests along the renovation period. Please kindly find as the picture below for more clarification.

Hôtel vieillissant , mais personnel agréable . Proche de la plage , massage a côté de la piscine si vous le souhaiter. Nous y avons passé deux nuits chambre donnant sur la piscine .

This is a very nice hotel with good access to the northern end of the Patong beach. Walking in the road is necessary and is not recommended for children. The hotel pool is very nice. I would stay here again.

Didn’t really like the check in at the hotel, with a barrage of money extras, ie: pay for damage, pay for bath towels, bring a person in to the hotel, (even though on my booking I had paid for 2 and I was a single traveller)
Asked for a room upgrade because the room faced out on to the main road!
Told the hotel was full.
Toilet roll was non existent for half a day before a complaint went in to reception.
Not impressed!

When we first checked in, I provided my feedback, as I was not very impressed with the Hotel infrastructure. On the next day, I was visited by the manager, Miss Rose, who was very polite and kind. She wanted to find out more why I had that impression. She listen to me, and addressed some of my concerns straightforward. I was very impressed by her approach and professionalism. On that same occasion, she kindly offered us a free pizza and a late checkout. Since then, we were very well treated, and everything ran smoothly. Hotel staff were also all very kind and polite. There is naturally room for improvement in regards to the hotel facilities, but overall I was very happy on how the manager and her staff dealt with my feedback. This is what is expected and I commend them for that. Thank you for working so hard to make our stay so pleasant. Hats off to you all:)

Read through the reviews before booking the room and a few said that the hotel staff say that the hotel is full and you need to seek for refund etc. In my experience, this almost happened till I showed them the original receipt from Hotels.com! Waited about 20/30minutes JUST to check in. The staff, Arm, seemed unfriendly with the way he talk to us. The staffs were also gossiping in thai language after check in. Otherwise, the room was all good to me.

I had a 28 day stay here and the staff are so helpful, friendly, always smiling and happy to assist.
I didn’t eat much in the hotel so I can’t comment however theories plenty of local options with short walks.
I really enjoyed my stay at Patong Lodge.

I loved everything at Patong Lodge. From the moment we arrived to our departure nothing was a problem for the staff. Particularly enjoyed the vast array of food for brekky, the pool, the room. All was really great.

You have to leave your room key at the front desk any time you leave your room. You have to check our pool/beach towels at the front desk which must be returned by 7pm. Why not just charge the customer’s credit card if the towels aren’t brought back to the room instead?
We had drainage issues in both the showers in our 2 bedroom hotel room. We requested they fix it 3 times and they told us to pull out the drain cover to alleviate the issues. Disgusting! The real issue was the drains needed to be cleaned. The room was outdated, dingy and old-nothing like the photos on their website. Very disappointed and frustrated by the service and condition of the room. I would definitely never stay here again.
Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere. There are plenty of hotels nearby for the same cost that were much nicer. Location of this hotel was directly across the street from the beach. There are no sidewalks to get to local bars and restaurants, so I would not recommend staying here with small children. Also, this is a predominantly Russian tourist location and the Thais definitely cater to them. We felt a little discriminated against being American at this hotel.
I requested late check out and the front staff tried to sell me on checking out at 4pm so I would have to pay extra. I told them 3 times I wanted to know how late I could stay without paying extra. Just seemed unprofessional for them to “up sell” me on staying longer so they could charge me.
