This is it! Your search is over! This is the best hotel on the island. Book it early, because we met people who tried to book it four months in advance and couldn’t get a room. Even though there are some more expensive hotels on the island, they don’t compare to this one. This hotel has exceptional privacy where you can’t see your neighbor. All you see is the sea and lush greenery. The rooms are stunning with natural wood everywhere. The staff are incredible and will take care of you from pickup to drop off (just let them know your boat and its arrival and departure times in advance).
This is comparable or even better than my experiences in over water bungalows and beachfront bungalows in French Polynesia, Maldives, and Fiji. World-class snorkeling in your backyard (and I recommend booking the snorkel tour which is fantastic). And ultimately, retiring back to an architecturally stunning masterpiece with beautiful touches (flowers as faucet valves, doors with wooden locks). The plunge pools are very well maintained unlike most resorts where I usually avoid them, here I used the plunge pool every day. Honestly this hotel is better than most five-star hotels as it has character, privacy, architectural interest, beautiful breakfasts, and a fantastic location (all the other hotels are crammed next door to one another and their patrons are all crowded on the beach…not fun).
Tip: snorkeling is best just north of the large rock island in front of the hotel).

Beautiful cliff top villas on Sunrise Beach. Ours was secluded and at the top. Front is glass giving you a morning view of the sunrise from bed. The water is crystal clear and snorkeling equipment is on site. It feels like swimming in an aquarium and I visit Australia frequently. The restaurant is very good with a huge morning breakfast served in your room. We enjoyed our private plunge pool and stunning views from the veranda. I walked all three beaches and did not see a property as stunning!

Absolutely stunning. Amazing one of a kind location. Wonderful staff. No complaints whatsoever. Breakfast was lovely and restaurant was fantastic.

Its a lovely hotel in a wonderful.location,however given the price i paid over £600 per night for their top 2 bed villa i feel the condition and facilities of the room needs to be much improved. There is luxury rustic and rustic and this falls between the 2 and doesnt offer vfm in my opinion. I didnt like the forced breakfast in the room option. 1 of the highlights for me of luxury hotel dwelling in the Far East is a fantastic breakfast buffet. Regretably this offering had much to be desired. Also there is no swimming pool save the small plunge pool in our room and no sun loungers on the tiny beach area. Having said that we enjoyed our stay, the service is excellent, the onsite restaurant very good( just offer breakfast there!)

Absolutely loved this place. However, I missed not having any sun loungers on the beach to relax. The stairs were quite hard work to walk up as our room was right at the top. But the staff and the view was still worth it. We especially loved having breakfast brought to our room in the mornings.

This was a very nice property. I like that it felt secluded and it had an excellent view. I enjoyed my stay at this property. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. I enjoyed my room very much. The air conditioner worked great as well and the view of the ocean was stunning. I do wish they had more towels in the room for shower. I hope to return to this hotel again in the future. It was a good property.

The view from the rooms is spectacular and the property has amazing views. The food at lunch and Dinner were ok but the views from the restaurant made the experience.
Breakfast was a very poor standard. One of the worst I have experienced in any hotel in terms of quality and choice and we left it all and had to go somewhere else.
Even on a small island the property is very remote and if the weather is bad you can feel trapped. The rooms need updating as few very old fashioned particularly the bathroom and they were full of mosquitoes.
We decided to stay in koh Lipe an extra night but moved Hotels to somewhere on walking street. This was half the price but much cleaner, comfortable and much more enjoyable.
I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay at serendipity if they are going to Koh Lipe but I would go for a drink/lunch.

Privacy is the key here. Each villa is private from others. We had our own private pool.
Be prepared for steps as it’s on a mountain, but breakfast is brought up to the room each morning and the room service was excellent.

Very beautiful view but a lot of details to improve for their services. We were being billed for coffee/tea at breakfast (they suppose we should use the coffee machine which was broken and the tea pot in the room but nobody mentioned it at checkout. The snorkels and life jackets are stored at the restaurant which means every time you want to borrow them you have to climb up and down the stairs several times to get them and some of them are broken or you run out of the size. There were some eaten and rotten fruit found in the pool inside the villa. Overall it was a nice stay mainly for the view but for the price we paid there are much beautiful and well maintained hotels we have stayed before in Thailand with equally beautiful views.
