I had an amazing stay at this hotel during my trip to Bangkok, and it exceeded my expectations in every way. The first thing that stood out was how clean and well-maintained the entire property was. The rooms were spotless, the bathrooms gleamed, and even the hallways and public areas were kept in immaculate condition throughout my stay. The housekeeping team did a fantastic job each day, and it really added to the overall comfort. The location of the hotel is also unbeatable right in the heart of Bangkok, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city. Despite being centrally located, the hotel itself offered a peaceful and quiet atmosphere, perfect for relaxing after a full day of sightseeing. With its combination of cleanliness, comfort, and a prime location, this hotel truly made my Bangkok trip smooth and memorable. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

I booked a Krungthep Wing Deluxe suite after several stays in the Shangri La wing and found the suite to be excellent in size and convenience. There was no coffee maker or pods in the room but the hotel provided one a day later. It is a short walk to the Shangri La wing for breakfast and access to the Horizon Club as this wing no longer has club lounge facilities but is all under cover and airconditioned. As this wing is closer to the BTS system travelling around the city is easy and the hotel has a complimentary shuttle service to Iconsiam several times a day. The Horizon Club has two white and two red wines for the cocktail hour as well as a prosecco and small bites to snack on. Each night there was a different variety of a small creme brulee to enjoy with a choice of cocktails.

I travel as a lone parent with 3 children so my list of accommodation needs is longer than most. The hotel is beautiful, clean and rooms are a very comfortable size. The staff were friendly, however when using the pool outside of hotel organised fun such as songkran pool activities children cannot play freely as the priority of adult guests enjoying themselves felt more important regardless of there being a separate quiet pool. Children will find it difficult to enjoy the pool on normal days.

Stayed at the Shangri La Bangkok and a bunch of other resorts on my Thailand trip with my friends. This property was beautiful in the photos, and the main community areas. The rooms themselves though seemed a bit outdated lacklustre and weren’t the cleanest. The property around the hotel was also not ideal - but understandably because of how old it I suppose. 3/5 would be my final rating.

We only stayed for a night but loved it. The hotel is beautiful. We had a river view balcony room and was stunning - good size room. We couldn’t get a late check out but were able to use the lively pool area for the day and shower ready for our flight. The locations for walking from the hotel is also great.
