Shangri La Bangkok

Staff were very helpful, pool is tropical and quite beautiful, bar and restaurant food was good as well. Location worked well for Asiatique with easy free boat service below the BTS. Also BTS is next door and only three stops away from the glass walk at top of King Power.

Some of the rooms were outdated and the carpet definitely needs to be replaced in the rooms. The common areas and were amazing. The staff is top notch and very helpful. The food and drinks were impeccable. Would definitely stay here again!

When I got to the hotel they informed me that breakfast wasn't included even though when I booked the trip it was included for some reason when I booked this trip it was in British pounds instead of US dollars that was weird so I really couldn't figure out the price but it was somewhere around $200 with taxes and fees that came out to 300 something I don't think it's worth 300 bucks a night everything there is dated and old the staff was good and they do their best but the chaise lounge pads were worn out the room was definitely worn out the sheets were nice the balcony was nice but the door was broken the air conditioner didn't work right the room was either freezing or hot I paid $5,000 for massage That was supposed to be 90 minutes and I only got 60 minutes I have to admit this was the highlight of my trip it was the absolute best massage I've ever had in my life I wish I could remember the lady's name absolutely amazing wonderful massage the Chinese food I ordered broccoli beef and they gave me wagyu beef the difference was 2200 instead 580 so needless to say that's about four times more than what I wanted to pay I didn't notice that at the time I asked for a free ride to the bank to get my ATM card back because their ATM machine ate my card and they said no free rides they wanted 2,000 baht the taxi driver charged me $700 anyway I'm glad I left the resort I was only there five nights but it seemed like a month that's a nice people there but it just doesn't make up everyt

My two day stay here was wonderful. First, the staff are genuinely kind and helpful. They exude positivity. My room was lovely. I opted for the river view and was so happy I did because it was beautiful to watch the boats and barges go by when I spent time in my room. The location is ideal…walking distance to the train station and a quick ferry over to the Icon Siam which is definitely worth checking out. As well, there are many food places and services in the neighborhood. Lastly, the amenities are lovely. The pool, sparkling clean and warm and the gym with excellent equipment and options for exercise. You can’t go wrong staying here.

Very lovely staff and wonderful pool. Loved the waterfront suite we had. Would recommend!

The buffet breakfast was the biggest and best I’ve ever seen!! It was amazing!!

Nice hotel

Im a little late in getting to this review. This is a nice luxury hotel with a few problems. The rooms are great however they are slightly run down. I noticed scuffs on most of the furniture and over all everything felt just a little worn down. At this price point, given the choices in luxury hotels i had in Bangkok i felt like this was a bit of a letdown. Additionally when i mentioned my Expedia platinum status i was not given a room upgrade, this too was a letdown. I will be back to Bangkok but i'm not sure id give the Shangri-la another chance.

The breakfast was as good as any I’ve experienced around the world. All staff were very pleasant and helpful. Great location.

The cleaning lady was like a saint happy to have met her.

The staff were very polite and helpful, all spoke excellent English. The view was so lovely! I’m really happy with the layout of the room and bedroom. It smelled lovely, the scented diffuser elevated the space. The bed was very comfortable. I do have to mention though that I was a disappointed with the shower, the marble was visibly discolored, yellowed and didn’t match the walls. Gave a very unsanitary vibe. The room however was kept very clean and I was pleased with the room and laundry service. Overall very satisfied but given the building is older, highly recommend calling ahead to ensure the bathrooms meet your standards, if you are immunocompromised like me.

Staff are friendly but the only comment that they put us in an old building and is oudated, the chandelier in the room was blinking, the small refrigerator that they provide doesn’t get cold.

Absolutely loved this hotel. Stunning location - we had a river view room with balcony. Staff were so kind. The breakfast is like nothing I have ever seen before. The swimming pools like a dream.

While in Thailand we stay at one of two places, Shangri la is excellent. Great breakfast, on the Kings river, restaurants everywhere in the immediate area, China town, shopping including tailors and all types of nightlife. We visit yearly. chris green

I had a wonderful stay at the Shangri-La Bangkok. I arrived early and my room was ready 5 hours before check in which is such a great way to start a trip. I had a small issue with my room, but it was dealt with immediately and resulted in a benefit to me. The staff was great and the service excellent. Great location with easy access to a shuttle boat, BTS (train) and Grab cars and taxis. I would stay again!
