An important business partner came to visit me one morning during my stay. We met in the lobby lounge. He happened to bring a cup of Starbucks coffee. A staff member approached and advised that it was policy that he could not have the coffee from the outside. I believe that is a terrible policy when guests are paying lots of money to stay in the establishment.

This is literally one of my favorite all time hotels to stay in … it was worth every penny we spent here very luxurious and clean
And I am sure all rooms have amazing views even if isn’t burn khalifa view the sea view is just as nice
And while Dubai as a city was amazing this hotel deserves to be in the heart of it
Great location close to a lot of things
Definitely will stay here again when we visit Dubai again

The staff and service at Shangrila are world class. They made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived. Very family friendly place.
The entire staff was top notch! Keith, Saw, Nihil, and Mr, Karim in the Horizon Lounge. Khodarahm and Yasser in the lobby along with the rest of the Dunes Cafe staff. They truly are very kind and exceptional people. Thank you for everything!
My family will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Dubai.
