Best Western Owego Inn

The room was not the cleanest. I cleaned and wiped down all surfaces with lysol wipes. The temperatures outside was in the upper 90's. I set the thermostat in our room to 70 each day and each day we would return to our room and it would be hotter and the thermostat would show 88 or above although it was set on 70. It would take the room 4 to 5 hours to cool down to the temp set on the thermostat. I asked the staff and after numerous complaints was told that the thermostat has a motion detect sensor and if there was no movement in the room, it was turned off. So, while we were thinking we were going to return to a room that was a cool 70 degrees, we returned to a room that had no a/c all day and was slow to cool down. On Wednesday, 06/25, we returned to the room and waited until almost 2 am for the room to cool down to 74 degrees. It was a horrible stay. We had the room booked from 06/22 to 06/30, we were told we had to ask for housekeeping otherwise they wouldn't service the room. My husband and I took out the trash and cleaned our room each day.

Disappointing! Location was convenient. Breakfast bar was good. Cleaning and maintenance were overall unacceptable. Filth (not just dirt) in corners of the bathroom. No fresh towels all week (so they also were never dry in the humid climate). I'm a mechanical person, so there were lots of little things that bothered me... drawers that didn't close easily, lamp with problems, noisy heater, etc. Toilet was made for children... not 80-year olds! Very short! Toilet was not properly cleaned (wish I had taken a picture!) Not the worst place l've stayed, but pretty unacceptable for a professional lodging venue, and for the price. Breakfast was decent, but nothing to brag about. However the young lady that was running the breakfast was absolutely outstanding. Very hard worker that did it all! Setting up, cleaning. I presume she wasn't cooking, but if she did, she deserves a raise in pay! Probably the very best and hard working person at this facility! Always cleaning tables, replenishing the buffet... 5 Stars for the buffet employee. 2 stars for the cleaning staff and maintenance staff

The bathroom and the inroom fridge really needed a good cleaning. The drain in the shower was very dirty, with lots of hair. I was afraid to use it!

The outside and lobby areas were very clean, but the rooms. Layers of dist on the nightstand, telephone, clock and behind the nightstand and wall. One blind didnt work (broken). Other than that, a nice hotel.

Rooms were dirty. I saw 3 rooms all of them were badly maintained.

Staff was extremely accommodating, friendly, and professional. Our first room had several issues; however; it was immediately rectified by a staff member. Excellent service. Nice location. Very nice breakfast, too

Convenient to everything in the Owego area. Pleasant staff. Clean room. Exceptional shower and hot wart.

The room was musty smelling and had mildew on toilet. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Overall a great hotel for the price. We came to attend our son’s graduation in Ithaca and all hotels in and near Ithaca are booked and charge 2 times higher than usual. This hotel is about 40 minutes from Ithaca and charges normal price. We like the condition, location, and quietness. Staff are very polite and helpful. We hope that the hotel can improve on the breakfast, which is subpar (two few options).

It looks really nice outside, but do not fall in the trap, stay away from it. Rooms are super dirty, even unhealty I would say.

The staff was polite and assisted with info and questions. I paid a compliment to one young lady at the check-in desk. Her response was "This area is not a nice place. I don't like it here." I loved the area, the people, and my stay. .

Convenient if you are visiting Owego. In our room, there were gnats in the sink and we were told we could not move. They cleaned them out but a few more showed up and we rinsed them down. Bathroom fan did not work, no hot water for shower one morning. Blackout blinds were good and location was quiet. No daily room freshening unless you ask.

It’s absolutely beautiful! The staff was way above and beyond with their service! Thank you so much for all you guys do! I enjoyed the beautiful view from the breakfast area and the caring and the friendliness attitudes from the staff! Please take care and hopefully business will be booming!

Very dirty place. Asked about housekeeping they only clean every 3 days if that. Had food on floors, wall paper pealing off walls, blood stains on beding asked for it to be cleaned or changed they changed wrong room no discount. Old food left in cabnets no shamp or supplies glas we bought our own but didnt shower there as it was dirty. So you get what you paid for but will never stay again.
