DoubleTree by Hilton Houston Medical Center Hotel and Suites

Only issue was parking , was charged several times for parking although we stayed at the hotel , certain nights there was no parking and had to park in another hotel and was charged twice 40$ ..

Greeting at check in was very nice. The room was very nice, although it took about 20 minutes before the water got hot. The cafe was not too good. Menu options scarce, service very slow, no bar.

Every thing was great, except for the broken shower. However, that is a small thing and not the fault of anyone!

I wish the front desk staff was more more empathetic and amenable to an early check in. At least act like you care...

Convenient location for TMC area

The hotel is very nice, not the best area. However, they charge $25 a day for parking. Our first week was through Expedia and no mention of parking. Second week we booked through the hotel and still no mention of parking.

Good visit except ac didn’t work and trucks were broken into on the parking lot.

This property drops the standard of a double tree hotel that I know of by several notches. It is situated in an unsafe area of the town. One overnight during our stay, windows of 4 vehicles were smashed with the broken glasses scattered all over the place in the parking lot of the hotel. The hotel charges the customer $20 for one day parking by the way. One of the victims called the local police after he saw his truck was vandalized. However, the police never showed up! The staff is friendly in general. However, they do not respond to requests promptly. The manager was never spotted onsite. Some staff members seemed didn’t care what problems you had. The lobby was dirty because of the rain. The room was not felt clean either. The kitchen was only half functional. For instance, the fridge acted like a freezer and half of the burners on the stove did not work. No one seemed check the equipment in the room. The hotel did not provide towel papers in the kitchen. The shower door could not closed properly so that water always leaked to the floor. If this is a three star hotel, it’s definitely in the lower end of the spectrum. A very disappointing stay in the hotel. When I saw so many patients staying in such a conditioned hotel paying such undeserving prices, I did not feel good.

We pay to park and supposedly they have 24 hr security just for us along with 4 or 5 other trucks having the back windows scattered and broken into. Your vehicles are safe being parked overnight at this hotel.

Stay was great until we had to extend stay for one day. Had to do this through Hotel.com. Reserved another day. When we went to desk to get new keys was told we had to move rooms. Apparently when originally checked in was given upgrade. Stefon told us it would be an additional $100 to stay in original room. Could not afford that, so we had to pack up every thing and move rooms.

An average double tree. We were comfortable.
