Fairbridge Inn & Suites, Miles City

I wasn’t expecting much—just a clean bed, maybe a quiet night—but this budget hotel turned out to be a real surprise. The staff were genuinely friendly, not in a scripted way, but like they actually cared if you had a good stay. The room was spotless, like someone had taken their time with it. Not just surface clean, but the kind of clean that makes you exhale a little when you walk in. The pool and hot tub worked, which feels worth noting these days. They weren’t flashy, but they were warm, functional, and open. And out back, there was even a small green space for your dog out back. It was peaceful back there. Quiet. A little unexpected patch of calm. There were a couple of drawbacks. The mattress was softer than I’d like, kind of squishy, without much support. And the breakfast leaned heavily salty, like everything had spent a little too long in the seasoning bin. But for the price? Honestly, this is about as good as it gets. Nothing fancy, but everything you need. I’d stay again.

This was a clean hotel with friendly staff, a great breakfast and it was within walking distance to dining. Safe neighborhood and clean town!

The suite option was great (bunk beds in a room carved out of the larger room). Bunk bed mattresses weren't great for an adult, but kids wouldn't care.
