I stayed here because it was close to Madison Square Garden(I attendeda concert)...literally a 3 minute walk and a 4 minute walk from the amtrak train station...very convenient...tons of places to eat near by...I'll definitely stay here again

the hotel was clean. Our room was a little warm, turned down the heat and it was great. enjoyed a nice hot shower that did not run out of hot water.

I recently stayed at this hotel and found the rooms to be very very small (even for New York) but clean. Our room had two double beds, and the limited space meant that opening our suitcase required placing it on the bed. We requested a mini fridge, which took up the remaining floor space. Despite the compact size, the breakfast was a surprise with a variety of options and a lovely inclusion.
Overall, this hotel is a great option for a quick stay.

The hotel front desk staff was great but kitchen, breakfast staff wasn’t. Lots of items missing at the breakfast buffet like coffee, bread,eggs and bacon all at the same time during rush hour. Honestly if you’re going to serve such a poor breakfast please don’t offer it. My room was a premium room with complimentary water and snacks. I only got it on the day I was leaving. I don’t think this hotel is worth the price. The only realy good thing was the location.

Great budget option in NYC, close to most transportation and very walkable, lots of food options, especially food-to-go, friendly staff. Quiet, small rooms. Two tolerable downsides: the breakfast space gets busy and a bit chaotic because the it’s fairly small, also the two elevators can take a bit long during crunch times.

Very average hotel. Really needs updating in the rooms, for example, the bedside table obviously came off the wall, so they’ve patched up the wall and put a dirty ottoman there instead…. Dodgy.
In terms of noise, it was very noisy. Noise from outside is noisy but also every door in the hotel slams so hard that you can hear the loud bangs all night. Big gaps under the doors means you can hear every one coming and going.
It really is a place to leave your bags for the day and head out, bring ear plugs and an eye mask to get sleep!

Really one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The staff was absolutely useless. We stayed for 4 days and I had to fight tooth and nail to get them to clean and restock our room. They were refusing to clean it. And every day we had to listen while the cleaning staff cleaned the room next to ours. We couldn’t take showers since we had no soap or towels. Not only that, but when the doors to rooms shut they SLAM shut (unbelievable loud). Could barely get any sleep because we had to listen to doors slamming all night. I will never stay at another Hampton Inn.

The hotel is in a great location at a decent rate, however it has taken years of ware and thousands of guests, but has seen little improvement. The rooms are a bit outdated and drab. The lack of improvement is most evident in the lobby where there is one small closet for bags to be checked in the heart of New York City and couches that are brown and peeling from use. Overall not a bad stay, we didn’t go to hang out in the hotel so not a terrible place to get some sleep before heading into the city.

This property has not been well-maintained. For example, there were no labels around the knobs for the heat/AC. After calling the desk to ask for help, I was told someone would come up. No one ever showed. I had to do a Google search on the air unit to know how to adjust the temp in the room. Shower rod was drooping so the curtain wouldn’t stay closed, the mirror had permanent stains, and on it goes. It did not seem dirty, just not maintained. Definitely not up to typical Hampton Inn standards.
