Holiday Inn & Suites ACROSS FROM UNIVERSAL ORLANDO by IHG, an IHG Hotel

The property is dated. The room we stay look empty it was a bedroom and living area separate but the living room are look empty no big tv no decoration on the wall look like sad room

Staff was great. 1/3 elevators had cardboard lined around it. Assume some construction was going on. 7th floor room. Tub was broken away at the floor. Bathroom door would not close. One of the hinges was messed up. Not aligned to fit within the frame. Rest of the room was good. Bathroom in some bad shape.

The hotel was a little old and not great but honestly I just wanted a place close to Universal Studios. It was about a 20 minute walk to the park and it was not bad at all. So what I needed the hotel for it accomplished that very well.

Everything was great. Location was perfect so close walking distance to CityWalk Period the only problem is the parking at the hotel is $25 per night, which is a ridiculously high amount when you’re paying For ridiculous charges like destination fee when you live in the same state and you drove yourself there.

Great location

Went for family vacation. The check in staff was okay at best. Parking way to expensive for the parking lot. The halls was dark and floors uneven. We arrive to our room. 4 guest 2 towels. Side table not strong enough to hold a book without falling over. The hotel was getting renovation on lower floors . .. Not notified we was staying in a hotel with renovation. Hotel is a good 25 to 30 minute walk to Universal. Trying to get pool towels was harder than pulling teeth.

Well I used to stay in this hotel couple times a year few years back, I haven’t stay there in like 5 years, now that I have my universal passes back, I booked for the first time and let me tell you, is nothing like back then, the place is in terrible condition, the elevator was wrapped in construction paper, the carpets are full of bumps all over, I was having a hard time rolling my luggage because of the carpets, the tv wasn’t working the cable looked like was ripped apart from the tv and the tv wasn’t even enjoyable because you were able to see the led in the background, the carpet was dirty looked like they don’t even bother to pass the vacuum and smell like humidity and was very strong. I could keep going but anyways is so sad that this hotel is nothing like what it was. Last time I used holiday inn brand.

Walkable to universal, loved our 1 bedroom suite

Noisy..

Had a great room for 8 people - a two bedroom suite. Was very spacious and clean. Had a small issue with a smoke smell and a manager came to check on us right away. She gave us immediate options and we thought that was amazing. Both front desk and manager were courteous and great. Cant beat the location to universal!

Needed a renovation bad, very mildew and musty on my floor. I had booked another night a week layer on my way back from my cruise. I cancelled it as it impacted my allergies and they stayed no refund allowed with it being still 8 days out

Great stay

I did not like the smell of de bedroom. The musty smell was very strong, I believe this odor came from the carpet

The rooms were dirty, we didn’t stay and checked out the same evening.

One of Bathtubs and one of the bathroom sinks was backed up, wasn’t enough baths towels and ants

The parking was a bit of a problem first day i checked in it worked. Then the next day it wouldn’t let me get out and I didn’t know if I had to check in for second day or not it said that they would just bill me then why give me issues. Carpet was dirty in room and my tub drain was not draining properly.

We stayed 2 days. Our room was clean and did not smell moldy at all. My only complaint for our room was is that the a/c would not cool on the second night as it did on the first night and the mini fridge barely cool. I almost forgot the $28 parking fee really ?? It's not like you have a lot of different restaurants that can take the hotel parking space. I don't find the reason behind that... The staff was very polite. I would definitely come vack.

I enjoyed every minute of my stay with family.
