Holiday Inn Express & Suites MARBLE FALLS by IHG, an IHG Hotel

I checked in on a Wed evening for two nights. I arrived around 8 and there was a lady talking to a customer. He was upset about something not working in his room. She was dressed sloppily and did not acknowledge me for 10 minutes. Her demeanor & unprofessional appearance was not a good start. The ground were very overgrown & not manicured. The paling was nonexistent and many “work” trucks took up many extra spaces. I’ve stayed in dozens of Holliday Inn Express hotels in my 66 years. Other than the room & halls being clean I was disappointed. This particular location has gone downhill in outside maintenance & the workers are all unprofessional (the ones I encountered). It’s hard to get good help these days! There should be a dress code & be nicely groomed to work the check in desk.

Great location- quiet and clean. The bed was really comfortable!

The staff cleaning rooms talked as loud as possible in Spanish, yelling down the hall & cleaned rooms just as loud. On the 3rd floor, they had guys with TV's so loud you could hear it after stepping off the elevator

Angel was fabulous!! We were greeted immediately. Beautiful room! She got us a room close to the entrance so exiting in the morning was very convenient. Stephen was also great! Had our paperwork ready and thanked us for coming and wished us a great day. They both need a raise!!

Stayed the weekend in handicap accessible room. Spacious and fairly clean but needs a remodel. Bathtub has medium high side with moldy shower seat. Shower head is fixed so no easy way to get water to wash except standing up. No grab bars around tub itself except right near shower head. Impossible to reach the grab bar from sitting position on seat. Some mold above the top of shower surround probably from people trying to adjust the spray. Bottom of tub was slick so seemed risky to use. Some kind of extensible head, more bars, and ideally a shower instead of tub would have been so much better. Ended up skipping showers while we were there. Toilet seemed to have a leak that would cause it to periodically run and sometimes self flush during the night. Fridge seemed to lack Freon since compressor came on loudly off and on constantly whenever temp was turned cooler. TV channel changer only worked when carefully directed at a specific area of the screen. All that said, rest of room was very clean. Beds were comfy. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a wide variety of choices, and there was a newly remodeled dining area. Lobby and entry recently remodeled or in process of remodeling so nice arrival area. Parking was easy. Might try it again once remodeling is completed.

We arrive approximately at 10:30 pm and. Checked in. We got in our room to find out that the toilet wasn’t working so we contacted service desk and asked to move to another room. No room with a king bed was available and that she would contact the manager. She also told me that we could use the restroom out in the hall and that another room had contacted her because their toilet wasn’t working either. We were there just to sleep. The next morning we asked to be compensated since our room’s plumbing wasn’t working and we paid $167.00.

Service exceptional

Check-in was a breeze and the service at front desk was GREAT. Room, including bathroom, was spacious and very clean, and room temp was perfect upon arrival. Breakfast was good too. Would recommend!

This is the second time we have stayed at the HI in Marble Falls. As we have family in the area, we will probably stay there in the future. Friendly staff, clean amenities, very conveniently located. This time I was in a wheelchair. The staff went out of their way to make our stay a pleasant one.

Property common areas were dirty and unkept. Lots of workers and construction. Limited parking and lots of noise. Room was adequate but poorly designed. Small TV and odd Spectrum channels. Could not see TV from couch. No light over Keurig station/mini fridge. Not intuitive and comfortable. Asked for blanket and all that was available was another comforter. Not an option. So remade the bed with extra sheets. Housekeeping removed them the next day. May I suggest a good GM with operations experience to get this place running?

I am going to corporate for the way the staff made my short stay unsafe.

Great stay, price higher than normal. The sofa bed was not made up and very uncomfortable. A great deal of die on faucets.

Nice front desk staff and friendliness. The hotel was undergoing a big renovation but it did not impact our stay. Quiet overnight.
