We were very impressed with this hotel. The vibe is everything honestly and we loved having Alexa in our room so we could talk to her like we were at home. The Pantry where breakfast is served is so nice and the service was amazing.

The room clearly wasn’t ready for me - the refrigerator had not been plugged in and the room was 79 degrees. The room’s temperature control was impossible to figure out. It took more than an hour to get staff to assist the first day. After that, I was just glad I brought my own fan and didn’t stray far from it. The hotel’s liquor license wasn’t valid so they could not sell the alcohol in their “Grab n Go”section. The Treetop restaurant closed early for unknown reasons. The hotel is designed like art and the furniture was comfortable. I would stay there again, but would make sure the temperature control was sorted out ahead of time.

The shower in the bathroom was really difficult to navigate as a short person who didn’t want to wash their hair. The shower head is not adjustable so I had to hide in a corner because I wanted to scrub my body without being doused with water at the same time.
The hotel is right next to an extremely busy multilane street. I could hear sirens, horns and general street traffic the entire time. I live in NYC so that didn’t bother me but I could imagine it being a problem from someone not used to such noise.
No room service and despite what Google maps may show there isn’t really any food in walkable distance…I had to order food.

Super cute little place. Great atmosphere and vibe. Rooftop bar/restaurant was great. Staff super friendly and helpful. Room was very clean. My room did feel a little sparse on the furniture. There was room for like a desk or a chair but there wasn’t either. Very minimalist furnishings.

Was only there for a nights stay. bar was quite nice but kitchen closes early. Rooms are very small and the shower tiny. Soap dispenser in shower did not work.

My friend and I loved the smell of the hotel when we walked in! So nice after a long drive, the lobby screamed sit here and let your cares melt away. Beautiful and definitely intimate inviting feel. Staff was so nice and welcoming. Roof top bar was great with tasty drinks and great food. Very walkable area, restaurants and shopping, easy parking. I paid for a spot in front of the hotel door. It is worth the extra $45 per night. Literally steps from the door. The twin bed room is small but fine for what we needed it for. Bathroom is great with good space. Provided soaps, shampoo and conditioner. Keurig, Amazon echo show, and TV. Uber was easy to get to see the sites. HINT: Old Ebbitt Grill is the place to see and be seen! Make reservations! There were a few things to be aware of however. There is very little noise insulation. I definitely recommend bringing ear plugs or headphones. Our stay overall was wonderful and I will definitely rebook at Hotel Nell when I visit DC again!

Pretty boutique hotel in a convenient location near many dining options and just a 10 min walk from the metro. The hotel is pretty and well maintained and I overall enjoyed my stay. The only reasons I am not providing an overall 5 star experience is because my room was not cleaned over the entirety of my stay and that the hotel rooms are not properly insulated for noise, one can hear your next door neighbors having conversations or their very loud tv, same from anyone talking or just walking by in the hallway.
