Hyatt House LAX/Century Blvd

I typically stay at Hyatt House because I love the chain & standard. This was a terrible experience, nothing like a Hyatt House.

The Hyatt House LAX gets points for having a sleek, modern vibe in the lobby and a smooth check-in process. Our suite was clean and comfortable, but... Our room had what I can only describe as a conceptual window. There was a pane of glass, yes, but it was frosted over like a cake; letting in light but denying any connection to the outside world. The WiFi functioned like a moody cat: on its terms, and with no warning. Also, the bath was more of a philosophical concept, since the drain plug had apparently taken early retirement. The restaurant downstairs had good food, but the ambience was giving upscale truck stop vibes. And the mandatory 18% gratuity? That level of confidence in the experience was bold. Not the staff’s fault—they were fine—but the setting didn’t exactly scream “reward me generously.” Now. The shuttle. The drivers were great, but having to get picked up and dropped off next to a dumpster in what felt like a covert back-alley drop-off zone, was a real “Hyatt, what are we doing here?” moment. Nothing says “premium hotel chain” like dragging your luggage past the smell of wet cardboard and regret. Maybe we came in hot after staying at Bahia Mita Secrets (also Hyatt), where everything was polished, intentional, and luxe. This felt more like the brand’s underachieving cousin who got held back a grade and is still “finding itself.” Next time I'm near LAX, I’ll be exploring other options.

Never can use the airport shuttle bus, no one care when you called the hotel and asked about the airport pickup. I have to pay for transportation to get to the hotel even they said free-airport shuttle. Never able to use, no one pickup phone when the front desk transfer you calls to shuttle bus pickup service. Don't count on it.

The room size is OK. Yet, there is no cups besides the coffee maker, no cups on the washroom sink. There is no power supply on the working desk. There is power supply on one side of the bed. When we walked into the room, there were rubbish on the floor. Breakfast choice is limited. There is no drop off in front of the hotel, entrance is just beside the building. Does not belong to the 'HYATT' brand. Fortunately, the staffs are really good and police.

Good stop over hotel

Was so convenient to fly in and see a show at SoFi. They even had shuttle options for us to make everything easier. Jack in the bar was helpful and friendly.

Found the bedroom was not brightly lit - room was a tad too dark . Would have preferred the bedroom to be better lit .

Staff was very friendly and the room was nice, even bigger than expected.

Convenience and proximity to LAX. The water pressure for shower was a little weak.

It was okay. The noise from the cargo air terminal was quite loud. Also, there were no cups or drinking glasses in the room.

Breakfast was wonderful and the staff was terrific

I met Kenya who was one of the lady helping with our breakfast in morning and she was fantastic. A wonderful lady who show professionalism and love for her job. The hotel customer service was amazing

How to park and check in is terrible. Myself and two other guests couldn't find it

Agent at check in desk was very pleasant and efficient.

The shuttle driver dropped me off by the Marriott and said I had to walk to the Hyatt’s entrance. The direction he pointed had me walking around the entire 4 sides of the hotel to find an open door. When I complained to the check in staff the response is “that’s the way it is”. My room was Nina’s food at the lobby bar was tasty, if expensive.

Clean and modern.

The free breakfast was great. The staff are pleasant.
