We stayed at the Inn at Golden Gate and found it clean, though a bit dated. It was cheap and exactly what we expected on a budget. The location was excellent, within walking distance to attractions, cafes, and restaurants. We’d stay there again.

Quick trip into the city for Race Committee; was the bay to breakers weekend so prices were a little high but I've stayed there before and it is reasonable.

I stayed here for 3 nights. Overall, it was a good experience. The check in and out process was easy and quick. This is a well-lit property located in a safe area of town. Staff were friendly, helpful, and professional. The room was exactly as pictured. It was clean, neat and everything was in working order. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. Although there were limited spaces for parking, it was never and issue. Free parking is a plus! I would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I both said it was the quiet stay in a hotel we have ever had which surprised us. On the other hand the shutters did not shut all the way and there was a light outside the window that was so bright I thought it was mid morning when I got up to use the bathroom at 2:30 AM. I bought some tape to keep them shut and that helped some. The wife said that place was clean, and she is an expert so I will take her word for it. The rooms are very tired but it is pretty tough to beat the location.

We were close to where we wanted to be. Uber was always quick to pick up at the location. Clean, nice & friendly, no coffee pot or any to offer! (that was the worst for me). No smart TV! ( That was the worst for my kid). We sleep grate.

As a single woman staying there I felt safe in the room but not walking around. Very close to nice attractions. Minimal contact with manager, who was pleasant, and only thru thick glass window.
Horrible parking availability. Typical SF street parking but the hotel lot was ridiculous.
I would recommend it as a last chance stay.

This would be a great place to stay if you are like me visiting this area on a budget and like to explore the city by foot and by public transportation.
However, it’s hard to rest at night because you can hear your neighbors doing their own things.
The biggest issue that keep me from coming back is the small mouse I saw creeping out of the bathroom and ran towards my bed when I was playing on my phone on the bed.
There was two sightings of mouse poop on the beddings…
The room service is good but still… seeing a mouse in the room will keep me away from this place forever…
