Residence Inn by Marriott San Diego Sorrento Mesa/Sorrento Valley

We stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriott San Diego Sorrento Mesa/Sorrento Valley from July 4th to July 7th in a one-bedroom suite with a pull-out sofa. The room was very comfortable, and both the front desk staff and housekeeping were incredibly sweet and accommodating. For the price we paid, the value was excellent—I highly recommend this hotel and would absolutely stay here again.

Loved the location and that the pool is heated with a jacuzzi and basketball court!

Attractive grounds.

I was changed car parking fee which was not seen while I was booking - disappointed. I can understand if the hotel located in downtown where parking space is limited but, this hotel locates in Mira Mesa and there is no issue in parking space availability. Free breakfast was poor quality and had limited options. Holiday Inn is much better than this Morriott.

Fair amount of noise from basketball court right outside my window as I tried to sleep. Missing significant number of food items, plates and bowls for free breakfast, resulting in my simply having a cup of coffee and nothing else

I stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks and had a couple of issues. The bathroom sink was clogged and I had to request a plumber to come and fix it. It took him an hour but the issue was resolved. Additionally, there were several small flies in the room. I would find them dead on the study table and bed, and the cleaners would leave them there. The cleaners did a very poor job in cleaning the room and only vacuumed once upon request during my 2 week stay. There were very limited breakfast options for vegetarians. Lastly, after I checked out, I saw a charge of $600 and $300 on my credit card although I never got any room service nor purchased much from their market place. I had laundry done twice and was charged $20 everyday for parking my vehicle, but that still should not result in a $900 charge. I had an ok stay at this hotel and wouldn’t recommend it for the price they charge. I paid around $2600 for my stay, and on top of that was charged an extra $900.

Bathtub paint was chipping and falling off. Furniture seemed clean but super out dated and made the room feel dark

I had a really pleasant stay at this hotel! From the moment we checked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable, and when we needed a replacement iron, they brought one up in no time—super fast service! The place was very clean throughout, and the included breakfast was a nice touch to start the day. I especially appreciated that the hotel is dog-friendly, which made our trip that much easier. While the décor is a bit outdated, everything was well-maintained and cozy. Overall, it was a great stay and I’d definitely come back. It’s a solid choice if you’re looking for a clean, accommodating, and pet-friendly place to stay.

We booked a two-bedroom suite. The room is big enough for six people, and the kitchen is clean and convenient for a family. The staff are very friendly.
