Staybridge Suites SAVANNAH HISTORIC DISTRICT by IHG, an IHG Hotel

I was really looking forward to getting some rest after a long day and night of driving, so I was disappointed that my stay didn’t turn out to be as restful as I’d hoped. The hotel itself was convenient, the staff was excellent, and the room was clean. Check-in was smooth, and everything seemed promising at first. Unfortunately, I was woken up around 7:30 AM by a loud group of guests talking right outside my first-floor window, where the hotel has a courtyard dining area set up for guests to enjoy breakfast. I could hear every word, and despite trying, I wasn’t able to fall back asleep. There were also repeated loud noises from the nearby stairwell door slamming, which made it even harder to rest. It’s unfortunate that the noise made it so difficult to get adequate sleep, especially after such a long trip. I hope the hotel considers some soundproofing or layout adjustments to help future guests have a more relaxing experience.

Nice area

The best staff! Warm, friendly, caring, knowledgeable, considerate… We were visiting Savannah for the first time (from California) and we felt right at home. We loved social hour with the staff and other guests. Breakfast was great. It was a wonderful experience.

Amazing service by all staff

The hotel was overall great, but the front desk should be occupied at all times. A brief wait is fine if someone needs to step away, but several times I waited for a few minutes before an employee showed up. If it’s a staffing issue, perhaps place a sign that says “Be right back” so guests know it won’t be long to wait.

Loved our stay! Older style hotel, but very clean and wonderful location!! Front desk staff was so friendly and welcoming!

Nice hotel in a very convenient location. They offered an early evening wine, beer and snacks mixer and daily breakfasts that included fresh fruits, scones, eggs, grits, waffles and more. Staff was friendly and helpful.

We had a wonderful time! Perfect location , right behind riverstreet. Staff was exceptional. Breakfest served everyday, and the free mixer monday-wed was a nice touch! Thanks yall, job well done...

The rooms are a little out dated the lamp’s didn’t work had to really fiddle with it and the shower curtain is all ripped on top but the hotel is very quiet and the lobby is so pretty!

Check in was quick & easy. Front desk attendant recommended several great places for dinner by the River. The hotel is within walking distance to shopping, trolley tour depot & tons of restaurants. Loved that the hotel supplies each room with firm & soft pillows. (Beds are very comfortable) Note: Monday thru Wednesday- Happy Hour in Lobby
