I went there for my 25th anniversary. It was close by just a few minutes away from my house. Everything was great. The person that checked us in was not very happy. He looked like he was in a bad mood. Other than that everything went well I do think that the lounge and the restaurant upstairs need updating a bit. I chose this hotel because this is where I used to come with my husband when we were teenagers.

Disappointing Experience – Not What I Expected from a Westin We stayed at the Westin Bonaventure in Los Angeles for 4 days and had two connecting rooms. Unfortunately, our experience did not live up to expectations. One of the showers in our rooms was not working upon arrival. We reported the issue right away, but despite multiple follow-ups, it was never fixed. No one offered us an alternative room, repair timeline, or even a basic apology—let alone any compensation. Additionally, I prepaid for breakfast for the duration of our stay. However, the hotel insisted I had only paid for one day. I escalated the matter to the Manager, but instead of addressing our concerns professionally, he barely looked up from his computer and dismissed us. As a Hispanic woman traveling with her family, I couldn’t help but feel that our concerns weren’t taken seriously or treated with respect. For a brand like Westin, this level of service was extremely disappointing. I expected better hospitality, attention to detail, and courtesy. Sadly, I won’t be staying here again—and I hope the hotel takes this as a wake-up call to improve both customer service and staff accountability.

Arrival was confusing. We entered on the Southside off Flower St. cars were lined up-some were double parked. There was no apparent traffic control. Then once we parked, we checked in at the front desk, went back to the car and unloaded, carried out luggage and bags to our room, and went back down to move/park our car. That seemed very slow and inefficient. Finally, when we bought two salads and one lemonade to from the lobby snack bar, it cost $40. I was incredulous and shamelessly insulting. It wasn't gormet. It wasn't even on a plate. It was in prepackaged plastic.

I loved the property and the staff associated with the hotel was mostly friendly and efficient. I was offered a late check out upon arrival- which was great given the conference am session i had prior to check out. Ms. Hernandez on the cleaning staff was extraordinary as were the doormen/valet! The Starbucks was conveniently located and team worked quickly to get everyone taken care of (although they didnt have all Sbucks products). A few minor points that detracted from my overall experience I think are worth noting as a business/frequent traveler 1. It was inconvenient to not be able to sign restaurant, specifically the Bonaventure Bar/Brewery and convenience shop- located on the main floor- items to the room. Apparently, even though these places shared the hotel name and were in close proximity to lobby offering the only options for a hotel guest at the pool or in need of toiletry items, they were separate from the hotel. The staff didn't seem to be held to the same standards of friendliness and efficiency as the hotel staff. The Bonaventure Bartender in particular was not a good representative of Bonvoy Marriott standards. 2. The grounds were lovely w/the exception of a huge eyesore between the pool, brewery+ outdoor gardens- storage/trash all around. 3.be amazing to offer f&b service at pool. 4. Spotty unsecured wifi bad for business traveler. 5.Prime Steakhouse closed multiple nights of biz conference- disappointing.

Service was great but the volume on the TV kept going down which the technician easily fixed but it was a nuisance having to call to get it fixed. I happened to visit during a time when it was cold, high 60"s, so the heat was needed in the room. The 1st night the technician said it was fixed however it wasn't another technician came the next day to fix.
