Property really good The property is great; I believe the expiration of negative reviews is due to the hotel being fantastic and the manager being a young and really awesome person.

Scam! Photos show the sign of the hotel next door. This is not in any way part of the Fairfield Marriott. This hotel should have been shut down years ago.

The room was suprisingly clean compared to the property. The hotel felt unsafe and was visibly dirty. If it wasnt for the low price and convenience, I would have given a lower rating.

My experience at Wilkes-Barre Inn and Suites was extremely disappointing and honestly concerning. There were roaches crawling on the floor, and the beds didn’t look or feel clean. The bathroom was also dirty, and the room had weird stains on the hardwood floor that looked like dried grape juice or food spills. The front desk staff seemed disorganized — they sent us to the wrong room, which was already occupied by another guest. That was not only awkward, but also showed a serious lack of professionalism and attention to safety. On top of that, the environment outside the hotel felt unsafe. Men were catcalling us as we walked to and from the building. I don’t know if they were guests or just hanging around, but it made the stay feel uncomfortable and tense. This place did not feel secure or clean, and I would never recommend it to anyone, especially solo travelers or women in small groups. I honestly regret staying here and hope management takes serious action to clean and improve this place.

Save your money and find somewhere else to stay. This hotel is sketchy from the moment you arrive all staff outside smoking and don’t care about you at all. We arrived to our non smoking room to find it smelling awful like cigarette smoke and have cigarette burns on the comforter. We are now fighting for a refund and had to find a new hotel at 1am in the morning. Very unfun

Single handily the worse place I’ve stayed at, and I have traveled quite a bit. I knew at booking the because of the price point I was going to be sacrificing some comfort. I at least expected clean towels and clean bedding. Neither of which happened. I went down to the front desk twice both times no one was there, so I gave up and slept in the car in the parking lot. Let’s list the issues, at check in a guest that had just been checked in was complaining that someone was trying to enter their room, if the person whose room that was (I think you had two 278, 283? Something like that) the front desk guy rolled his eyes and said you were being dramatic, upon entering the smoke detector had no battery and was chirping we ended up disconnecting it and it was still chirping. Bathroom was outdated despite newer looking light fixtures. Towels had weird stains, hair all over the floor and behind the door. Bed had what looked like animal hair on it?! Neighbor was blasting music and their dog was barking/whining. We were only supposed to be there to get 5/6 hours of sleep and a shower before having to go to our meeting… we didn’t end up showering because ew. And we only had about 3 hours of sleep so that was awesome. Anyways I would request a refund but honestly it wouldn’t do any good judging by the google and yelp reviews that I probably should have looked at prior to booking- that’s my fault.

The entire hotel needs to be updated. The stairs and balconies were very rusty with age. Our room had not been swept and had quite a bit of dirt on the floor. It was supposed to be a non-smoking room, but reeked of cigarettes. There were only 2 small bath towels and a hand towel. They were from last century, I believe, they were so worn out. I had to ask for some wash cloths and they were just as worn. Breakfast was just fair. Eggs, sausage and waffles, but only on the last day (we stayed 3 nights) was there any fruit and the one time I had cereal, it was stale. We would not stay there again.

We reserved at Expedia but the rooms we reserve for were not yet readyconsidering we arrived late. They offered us another room but it was filthy and so they offered another one. When we opened the sofa bed there were roaches and smelled awful. They are cheap but you get what you pay for. The lady at the breakfast area was so pleasant though.

Place was FILTHY! Day staff was not helpful. Woman that worked the front desk overnights was very help and nice. We cut our stay short because of how disgusting the place was. Towels were dirty, pillows had drool stains (well I'm hoping thats all they were!). Mattress looked like some one had been murdered on it. There were so many pubes. It was gross. Cleaning Crew needs to get lessons on how to clean a room. Place was just so gross!!

Of all the nights I have traveled, I never felt I had to leave a place due to cleanliness or safety concerns, and this place had both. I left the room because I did not feel safe and the room smelled of urine. I went down the road and stayed at another hotel for the same price that was quiet and clean.

Bed linen is not as pictured. We got a room that had no towels in it. Managed to get some finally after the 2nd request. The bathroom looks old and is kinda dirty. Writing on the walls. The breakfast staff is very nice and friendly and accommodating! Other than the bathroom and bed linens the room is decent! Just don’t go based off pictures cuz that’s not what you’re getting.

Run down filthy property that's basically a drug den for welfare recepients. Very few actual hotel guests most people appear to be"living" there. Within minutes of arriving you'll see junkies, tweakers, and the mentally ill. No 3rd party booking companies should be partnered with them. Unless you're looking for heroin, meth, hookers, or to get robbed STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS !!!
