The hotel is rather dated and tired but well situated.
What we disliked the most was the dishonesty. Upon arrival, after almost 24h of travelling, the hotel staff explained that the room was booked for 2 adults and 2 children but only had one bed and that we had to pay for additional beds for the children even though they were confirmed in the booking. So that was an extra £36/night.
Apparently the ages were incorrect.
Once we accepted that because we didn’t have a choice and simply wanted to get a shower and some rest, they tried to add another additionnal guest charges around £40/night/kid even though the counter guy said that would not apply. We refused and explained it was a total scam and unacceptable and the children were both in the booking so there was no additional guest charge that we would agree to pay. The senior staff member went on trying to negotiate, at which point we said we were not haggling over that and would not pay more than the bed charge we had agreed. We had paid in advance with expedia but honestly if we hadn’t, we would have walked away and found another hotel.
Otherwise the staff was ok but this ruined our arrival and gave us a very unpleasant feeling of vietnamese people.
We will never stay in this hotel which seems to be pulling up fake additional charges to make money off guests even though it is a rather expensive hotel to stay at in the first instance.
Very much would NOT recommend and won’t be staying there ever again.

Absolutely beautiful historical hotel right in Saigon along the river. We can’t say enough about this hotel. The staff was amazing. The property was clean. The breakfast was beyond amazing and the rooftop bar was fun to have a drink over the river.

Is located very conveniently in District One overlooking the Saigon River. It is easy to walk to at least half a dozen major attractions and locating food and shopping was easy as well. The hotel staff were very helpful and added services like fruit in the room and checking the room to see you have all your belongings before you leave the hotel add up to a stellar overall experience. One of the best breakfast buffets I have ever encountered and the spa was lovely as well.

Wonderful historic old Hotel turning 100 this year. Staff were wonderful, great location and close to a 5star experience but let down by the bed in our room. Unfortunately the bed was extremely firm and the topper was very worn making for a very uncomfortable rest. Not a luxurious rest that you would expect in a 4/5 Star Hotel. We rang reception at 1am and they did send up extra quilts to soften our experience. Roof top bar has a great view, nice atmosphere and 5star prices which we have no problem paying if it matches the dining experience which it unfortunately did not on this occasion.

Very colonial classic 5* hotel, chic Parisien souvenir,excellent breakfast,all the staff very nice,courteous and helpful,especially Gm Ngan order for us special tropical fruit,impeccable private service,we love to go back for sure,my favourite home place, feel safe,only B- we recommend recycled water bottles ( no plastic, good environment like Iberostar change the wave process.
If you choose the inside room,around the quiet small pool because the out side rooms are noisy,especially on Dong Khoi street also the flashing on led commercial pane from district 2 across the Saigon river very noisy,disturbing.Hotel couldn’t control the hustle of city life because it is way of life of VN,or any big city in the world it is not their fault.We will comeback for sure,Love Saigon

An absolutely beautiful and comfortable classic hotel in the heart of the Saigon tourist district, minutes from most of the best restaurants and bars. The location also provides a nice view of the river, although the street it’s on is nearly a highway. And some furniture on the balcony would have been nice.
Service was great, pool was small but great, gym is okay. Spa looked basic and the
ladies seemed completely disinterested in getting any business and so we have no further info there. We also didn’t try the rooftop bar as it was always closed. And no late checkout was a bummer, even tho we have VIP gold status. But we generally really loved the stay there.

Elegant, historical charm hotel. Beautiful pool and friendly, helpful staff. Attentive to every need. My favorite breakfast of all hotels. Cool rooftop bar overlooking river. My 3rd visit and never a disappointment. Cannot recommend any higher.
