What Guests Say About Their Stay

This is an old building, so don't expect sparkling rooms, but the rooms still meet modern standards! Bed was comfy, room was nice, breakfast was nice, location right in the town center, staff were pleasant. Small picky things... Sash windows (normal on older buildings) had several cracks, toilet and bathroom were separate rooms and there was no sink in the toilet. Mostly good though and I was very happy with my stay!

I made a last minute booking and checked in an hour later at 11pm. My single room was clean, warm and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was large and included a bath. Some cosmetic updates would be needed to bring it up to date but I was happy with the service I received and the price I paid for the night

Staff lovely, helpful & friendly. Room clean but very dated & a little scruffy in places. Parking easy, location good to walk into town. Breakfast cold choice limited, no fresh fruit. Cooked breakfast nicely done. Evening meal in bar/restaurant was good and would eat there again.

It’s an old property with limited amenities. But it’s well kept and clean. Price is on higher side based on what they offer. Food at restaurants and breakfast are very good. So don’t go out for food if you are staying here.

We really liked staying in this hotel. The staff were really lovely, friendly and helpful. We ate in the bar in the evening and enjoyed an 80s throwback of prawn cocktail followed by scampi and chips. Breakfast was made to order and was also delicious. The hotel is really clean, the hallway areas could be modernised but that didn’t detract from the nice bedroom and breakfast room.

I've lost count of the number of times I have stayed at The Mariner's. As a result, I have been accommodated in a number of different rooms The rooms are comfortable, light, spacious and very clean. Apart from a good supply of tea & coffee etc, each room has a hair dryer, an additional plug in radiator (although I have never had cause to use one) and, in most rooms, ironing facilities. The staff are excellent, truly excellent being friendly and very helpful. A nice friendly & popular bar where the serve good quality food and there is nice beer garden / patio area guaranteed to catch the afternoon & evening sun.

I have lost count of how often i have stayed at The Mariner's.....well into double figures over the past 18 months alone. As a former native of Haverfordwest, i know the town exceptionally well. This is how I know how central The Mariner's location is. The staff here are outstanding. The rooms generous, clean & comfortable. The place oozes a unique charm (it's 400 years old). The food is lovely with generous portions. The cooked breakfast is outstanding. Yes, you can use a Premier Inn but it's more expensive, the food average, the staff perfunctory, the rooms modest but clinical, the wi-fi generally poor and paying an additional fee for better connection is a waste of time and money. Plus, television service can be particularly ropey. So, stay at The Mariner's where you will be treated in a very welcoming & friendly manner, where you eat, drink & relax in a comfortable hotel where everything works as it should. You can even bring your dog. You've guessed it.....I'm a huge fan. I love staying here and looking forward to my next visit in May.

It is a charming hotel, 5 minutes walk from where we needed to be. Breakfast was cooked to order (not congealing & swimming in fat on a buffet) Staff were friendly & helpful. Hotel room temperature was good too, not stifling or cold. The taps in the shower were fabulous wish more hotels would do that.
