Together with PT Chubb General Insurance Indonesia, we bring you CHUBB Travel Insurance. Designed to provide you with maximum protection during your trip, CHUBB offers two types of flight insurance plans based on your flight route.

Domestic Plan
Customized for all flights flying within Indonesia.
International Plan
Customized for all international flights departing from Indonesia.

What does CHUBB Travel Insurance cover?

Personal Accident

Covers up to Rp500.000.000 with the following conditions:

For passengers below 2 years old, the coverage is 10% of the sum insured.
For passengers between 2 – 17 years old, the coverage is 25% of the sum insured.
For passengers between 18 – 70 years old, the coverage is 100% of the sum insured.
For passengers of more than 70 years old, the coverage is 25% of the sum insured.

If during your trip you sustain a bodily injury, which results in death and/or permanent disability within 180 days of the accident date, CHUBB will pay the relevant benefits according to the table below:

No indemnity will be paid, under any circumstance, for more than one loss.
No payment will be made for any loss caused by or resulting from sickness.

Trip Cancellation by Passenger

Both the Domestic Plan and International Plan cover up to Rp30.000.000 if you are forced to cancel a part or the whole of your planned trip due to specified causes.

The specified causes include:

You are suffering from a terminal condition, becoming ill or sustaining a bodily injury, so you are not allowed to travel.
You or your family member(s) is sick or has passed away, sustains a bodily injury, or needs to receive an inpatient treatment at a hospital.
Cancellation of scheduled public transportation services because of civil commotion or riot.
Your house becomes uninhabitable due to fire, storm, or flood, so you cannot travel.
You cannot commence or continue your journey due to natural disaster.

For points (1) to (3), the events mentioned must occur within 30 days before the departure date, and for point (4), the event must occurs within seven (7) days before the departure date.

This insurance only covers the loss of deposits, charges for advance payments for travel or accommodation, or other charges which have not been or will not be used, but remain payable under contract.

Flight Delay

Coverage of Rp750.000 per 4 hours, with a maximum coverage of Rp4.500.000, for every flight delay of at least four (4) consecutive hours from the time specified in the itinerary due to civil commotion or industrial action, adverse weather conditions or mechanical breakdown.

The delay must be verified in writing by the airline or their handling agent, as well as the number of hours delayed and the reason for the delay.

Missed Travel Connection

Coverage of up to Rp5.000.000 if during a connecting flight you miss your next flight due to the late arrival of your previous flight.

The travel misconnection details must be verified by the airline or their handling agent, as well as the reason for the travel misconnection, the scheduled and the actual time of arrival of the initial flight.

Baggage Delay

Coverage of Rp500.000 per 4 hours of delay, with a maximum coverage of Rp3.000.000, if your check-in baggage is not delivered to you within four (4) hours after your arrival at the destination. This benefit does not apply if the delivery of baggage is delayed upon your return flight.

Terms & Conditions

The terms and conditions of CHUBB Travel Insurance are as follows:

Only valid for flights originating from Indonesia.
Only valid for purchases on Traveloka Indonesia website or mobile application.
Once your booking is complete, the insurance certificate and policy wording will be sent to your email.
Claiming benefits from any events of force majeure is allowed.
Insurance does not apply for expectant mother.
Insurance is non-refundable.
All insurance-related matters after purchase are solely between the Insured Person and PT Chubb General Insurance Indonesia.
The amount of Benefits paid to the Insured Person is fully dependent on the policy of the insurance vendors. Traveloka will not be held responsible for the amount paid to the Insured Person.
Coverage for trip cancellation is effective upon the issuance of the certificate of insurance and terminates on commencement of the planned trip. For all other sections, insurance commences upon commencement of the trip.
Your coverage automatically ends on your arrival at the return destination of a round-trip, or at the destination of a one-way trip.
Claims should be submitted within 30 days after the date of occurrence. Any documents or evidence required by CHUBB to verify the claim shall be provided by the Insured Person at his/her own expenses.

How to Claim

Insurance claim can be submitted via online, via Traveloka App, as well as through email and posted mail. To submit your insurance claim, please follow the following steps.

Claim Submission via Online

Submit your claim online via http://www.chubbclaims.com within 30 days from the date of incident
Complete the relevant sections and questions in the online form, and attach all the required supporting documents according to the instruction. Missing out details or documents will result in the need for clarification and thus will delay the assessment of your claim.
Once the claim has been submitted, you will receive a confirmation of your claim number within three (3) working days after CHUBB has received your documents

Claim Submission via Traveloka App

Submit claim via Traveloka app no later than 30 days after the policy end date.

Open Insurance Homepage and go to My Insurance.
Click the Claim Tab
Choose the Policy and Benefit that you wish to claim
Follow the instruction and submit the claim form
Once the claim has been submitted, you will receive a confirmation of your claim number within one (1) working day

Claim Submission via Email or Posted Mail

Download a copy of CHUBB Travel Insurance claim form here. Your claim must be submitted within 30 days from the date of incident.
Complete the relevant sections and questions of the claim form. Missing out details will result in the need for clarification and thus will delay the assessment of your claim.
Ensure that you collate and attach all the required supporting documents to your claim form. Missing documents usually result in the need for clarification and thus will delay the assessment of your claim.
Your claim form and supporting documents may be submitted by email at claims.id@chubb.com or via post to CHUBB offices.
Once the claim has been submitted, you will receive a confirmation of your claim number within three (3) working days (for claims submitted via email) or within five (5) working days (for posted claims) after CHUBB has received your documents.

What is Travel Insurance?

Travel Insurance is a product from CHUBB Insurance (previously known as ACE Insurance) that is specially designed for Traveloka customers.

Who can purchase Travel Insurance?

Travel Insurance is currently only available for flights purchased on Traveloka Indonesia website.
Flight Insurance only covers flights originating from Indonesia.

How much does the Travel Insurance cost?

It will depend on the flight you purchase. The exact price of the insurance can be seen in the Booking Form.

What does Travel Insurance cover?

I booked flights on Traveloka, but forgot to buy insurance. Can I add insurance to my booking?

We’re sorry, but adding insurance to a completed booking is not possible.

Can I purchase Travel Insurance for trip of more than 30 days?

Travel Insurance is only available for trips with max. 30 days of travel, or trips that are no longer than 30 days between departure date and return date.

I need to cancel my trip. Will I get a refund for my insurance?

We’re sorry, but Travel Insurance cannot be canceled or refunded once payment is made.

How do I submit a claim?

Is there a time limit for submitting a claim?

Claims must be submitted within 30 days after the date of occurrence.

How long does it take to process a claim?

Claims will be processed within 14 days after the complete documents have been received.
