The Pangrango Train
Pangrango Train is a Non-Executive and Economy AC (Plus) passenger train owned by PT Kereta Api Indonesia with the Bogor-Sukabumi route and vice versa. The composition of the railway series at the beginning of the operation consisted of one locomotive, four AC economy cars, one executive car and one dining car train with generators.
Pangrango passengers board and alight at Bogor Paledang Station, even though the train continues at Bogor Station, with a frequency of three times route trip a day. The duration of the regular Pangrango train journey takes 1 hour 45 minutes, while the additional Pangrango train takes 2 hours and 10 minutes. Morning Pangrango train departs from Sukabumi Station at 05.15 and arrives at Bogor Station at 07.18. As for the reverse route, the Pangrango train departs in the evening from Bogor Station, precisely at 6:30 pm. This train will arrive at Sukabumi Station at 8:36 pm.
Pangrango trains will stop at several transit stations during their trip. Pangrango trains to Sukabumi will stop at Bogor Paledang Station, Batutulis Station, Maseng Station, Cigombong Station, Cicurug Station, Parung Kuda Station, Cibadak Station, Karang Tengah Station, Cisaat Station, and Sukabumi Station. Train fare is IDR 30,000 per person for AC Economy class and IDR 80,000 per person for Executive class. The rate includes air conditioning for a comfortable trip.

The Origin of Name
The Pangrango train name is taken from the name of Mount Pangrango which has a height of 3019 meters above sea level in the Gede Pangrango National Park in Bogor, Cianjur, Sukabumi Regencies.
The History of The Train
The Pangrango train operates to replace DMU (Diesel multiple units) Bumi Geulis KRD, which was terminated in December 2012. The train was inaugurated by the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Dahlan Iskan on November 9, 2013, in conjunction with the opening of Paledang Bogor Station. While it has been removed starting January 1, 2016, executive class services in Pangrango Train were then brought back again on January 26, 2016. In addition, on May 16, 2019, PT. Indonesian Railways adds additional Pangrango Train schedule in response to the high demand on this train.

The total number of passengers that this train can carry on each trip is 474 passengers. These train facilities include air conditioning, toilets, luggage storage, electric plugs and hangers. Seats are available in a permanent arrangement and arranged to face each other. Foodservice is available and can be bought in the dining car.
