About CleanDining

Traveloka CleanDining is a collaboration program between Traveloka and participated restaurant partners, to meet the hygiene standards recommended by various institutions, including Indonesian Hotels and Restaurants Association, so that you can feel safe and comfortable when you dine-in at a restaurant.

To be able to participate in this program, restaurant partners have to state officially and fully committed that they have meet the required hygiene standard through self-assessment method. Traveloka CleanDining program is intended to increase hygiene standard of public places and also encourage public places owners/managers so that they can adopt standardized hygiene protocols through self-assessment process.

Standard Protocols of CleanDining

A summary of the applied hygiene standards is as follows:

Restaurants staffs are obliged to wear personal protective equipment in every interaction between staffs and guests.

•

Obligation to use contactless thermometers to routinely monitor the health conditions of the parties inside the restaurant area (following the restaurant building's needs)

•

Obligation to apply hygiene standards in providing services to guests through hygiene protocols when preparing and serving food, as well as maintaining the cleanliness of shared facilities

•

Obligations to implement social and physical distancing in the restaurant area.

Note: Guests are also required to always wear a mask in the restaurant area. Besides that, guests should also maintain a clean behavior in the restaurant area.

PLEASE NOTE THAT CURRENTLY, THE INDONESIAN GOVERNMENT HAS NOT ISSUED AN OFFICIAL CERTIFICATION OF HYGIENE STANDARDS FOR RESTAURANTS. THIS "TRAVELOKA CLEANDINING" PROGRAM IS A GOOD FAITH TO SHOW THE FULFILLMENT OF STANDARDS GENERALLY APPLIED AND RECOMMENDED BY VARIOUS INSTITUTIONS, INCLUDING THE INDONESIAN HOTEL AND RESTAURANT ASSOCIATION (PHRI). THEREFORE, THE DISPLAY OF "TRAVELOKA CLEANDINING" ICON IS NOT A WARRANTY FROM TRAVELOKA THAT THE RESTAURANT IS FREE OF ANY DISEASE. YOU ARE REQUESTED TO ALWAYS BE AWARE AND APPLY SELF-HYGIENE PROTOCOLS AND PHYSICAL AND SOCIAL DISTANCING WHEN YOU VISIT THE RESTAURANT.

The referred standard used for self-assessment by accommodation partners follows with adjustments from various institutions' guidelines, including the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI), which are circulated in a limited manner for the tourism industry players. The complete criteria used as a reference for the hygiene standards can be checked here.

To ensure that restaurants comply with the given hygiene standards, the assessment mechanism carried out in this campaign is based on the self-assessment method carried out by each restaurant. Each restaurant will do an independent check based on the provided guidelines and will declare that it has provided the correct information.

Traveloka is not a certification body or surveyor and the fulfillment of hygiene standards is entirely based on the accommodation partner's declaration, and the declared items are limited to items that can be checked on the program description page.

The currently used standards may change at any time depending on the standard development set by the competent agencies, such as but not limited to WHO, PHRI, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Health, and/or other institutions.
