The ticket exchange process was very easy, the staff was friendly.

Cleanliness is maintained with such a large area, yesterday I went there to watch the lantern festival.

Buying tickets from app is very easy! No need to buy on site upon arrival! Just show it to the staff at the ticket counter, then we will be given a bracelet that has a barcode, and can immediately enter the Borobudur Temple area!

I was really happy to be able to visit one of Indonesia's historic and iconic temples, but unfortunately it was raining when I came, so I couldn't fully explore the temple.

Things to note: On Monday the temple area is closed, you can only access the courtyard here. And also D-1 of the Waisak celebration, the temple area has been prepared for the event.

Arrived on 14/5 at the last hour of climbing, it turned out to be raining and had to be delayed for about 1/2 hour but finally climbed wearing a raincoat and a statue. The officers were friendly and it turned out that the view of Borobudur after the rain and the mist was cool.

Everything was great, starting from the informative and friendly staff, then the unforgettable experience of climbing Borobudur because it was really exercise... I really got tired 💪

There are lots of entrances to Borobudur, so if possible, don't enter the wrong one, so you can redeem your ticket ❤️

Buying tickets to go up the temple, was a bit confusing at first. We didn't take the shuttle because the queue was very long, so we decided to walk. There were no signs about where to go to change sandals and wait in a special area. But thank God we were able to get there by asking the officers several times.

In terms of restructuring, it is very good, unfortunately there is minimal information on directions. which makes us too tired to find the way out. Have to ask here and there, and it is difficult to find officers in the field to ask. It is very difficult, especially if you bring small children or the elderly.

First time visiting for over a decade so there were a lot of improvements. If you are a vampire (like my girlfriend) then I don't recommend going in the morning or afternoon, try and get the evening session (if you are paying extra for the access to the higher areas of the temple). As you are leaving, they will try to tell you that you can't exit the way you came in, this is a SCAM! Just go back in the way you came otherwise they make you have to choose between an extremely long walk (over a kilometre) or pay for the electric shuttle bus. Also, when you've gotten back to the modernised area, there will be 2 guy sitting down telling you you have to turn left and exit through the markets, also a SCAM! Just push right through them otherwise again, you'll have to walk more and see more shops.
