I stayed 2 nights at the Delta Aurola with my family. The staff and their client service approach were remarkable. The Delta Aurola loses points in terms of cleanliness and comfort. As soon as we stepped out of the elevator, there was a strong smell of damp and humidity. The rooms and halls have carpets, which do not help. We had to ask for a room change, and still, we felt like we were covered in humid sheets despite the AC and temperature control. Also, the place needs renovations as the installations were outdated, and some were mouldy. The buffet was good. Again, the service was friendly, very helpful and always with a smile.

The location was ideal for getting around San José. Shopping and Cultural aspects were all within walking distance. The area felt safe, and you could easily traverse at night. The hotel dining left a lot to be desired, and more menu options or daily adjustments to the menu would be an asset.

They are doing renovations in the whole building. We walked into our room and it smelled musty and everything was damp. We sat on the bed and felt like the sheets were wet. The room was extremely humid and the AC didn't work. We tried to call to the front desk and the phone didn't work. The food and drinks at the bar were not great. We waited an hour for pizza and boneless wings. We stayed at two other much less expensive places on our trip that was much better in all ways. We expected at least that from a Marriot.

This was a great hotel in the middle of everything in San Jose. The rooms were clean, although the one we stayed in did have a musty smell. The breakfast was great. The staff was top notch. Parking was easy. The area around the hotel was good. This is the middle of a huge city, so there are always big city issues. We would stay at this hotel again.

Not bad , I get the impression like the property has passed on to new owners and hotel will be better eventually. Staff, all the staff is Amazing (kind, very friendly and helpful). Conditions could be better.

We had a wonderful room on the 16 th floor with a gorgeous view all over san jose. Beds were super comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. It is right across the street from a pretty little park and very easy walking distance to the major museums we visited. We also walked to the interesting central market, where we bought ourselves flowers for our room . The sidewalks are very uneven in san jose and we never tried walking at night , but had dinner at the hotel. The breakfast that came with the room was a really fabulous buffet that had everything one could want, hot and cold. Dinners at the hotel were generously sized so by the second night we knew how to order better. We didn’t try the pool but it looked inviting if a bit cool. I definitely would stay at this hotel again.

Hotel is very old. Rooms are set to be remodeled next year and boy do they need it. Old carpet, smells of mold. Breakfast was so so, didn’t have enough dishes and fruit was sad. Lobby was nice and staff was friendly. We were supposed to stay 5 nights but checked out after one and went elsewhere. Not a great part of town either.

Pool was unsafe, no steps out just metal ladder not good for seniors with limited arm strength. Also totally unheated in the shade so too cold to stay in (February visit). One ladder was loose as well.

Two days here no hot water and no competition for the inconvenience. No notification of any repairs. After three cold showers I have to say my patience has run out. I will post my bad experience to my 50000 subscribers. This is the first bad review I will sadly be doing…. Just a bad experience over all and I had to endure the cold shoulder not to stink like this hotel apparently intended for me.
