Greatly disappointed and dissatisfied by the service and staff. Staff had a general attitude problem starting from reception to the AC maintenance guy. Not a family friendly hotel, even though i didnt have kids with me, but the focus of the hotel is geared toward the night life customers.

Took a long time for room to be ready past—almost two hours beyond check in time. Sat outside for a few hours which was fine but we had given up our bags so no clothes to change to. Room was nice but tight space. The problem was how loud it was at night. We faced the pool so took a long time to fall asleep. Maybe ask for a quiet room. We had come from truly fabulous places in Morocco so this was our only disappointment

Superb courteous service. Wonderful location. Fabulous pool. The scent of the blossoming orange trees pervaded the 7 acres (2.8 hectares) of gardens.

The history, the beautiful gardens. The standard rooms are unfortunately small and in keeping with the original design, can be arranged awkwardly. I loved the facilities though and think that is worth the room rates, and the food here was amazing. The Italian restaurant we went to for dinner served a most delicious prawn spaghettini and the lunch buffet was a great mix of choice (without being overwhelming) and deliciousness.

The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. As was our room, including the patio area. Service was quite good (generally excellent but occasionally inconsistent). The garden is gorgeous, but also a tourist attraction in itself so gets busy with tourists not staying at the hotel. This means you are constantly asked by staff if you’re a guest. The restaurants are good but relatively pricey for what they offer. One major detractor for us was that people smoke indoors, everywhere. We had our dinner at the Marjorelle cafe ruined twice by a guy smoking a cigar. This is a Marrakech issue more than a hotel issue, but it really bothered us. Oh, and the diffuser they use is incredible (we bought some in the boutique).

Horrible experience. unclean. we checked in to find the trash wasn't emptied. Took 20 mins to get our bags. crowds of people at the entrance. Spoke to their general manager who had a bad attitude and was unwelcoming. Even some of the housekeeping staff were unfriendly. The night manager lacked experience on how to deal with guests properly. I informed them that it was our anniversary. Shockingly, all they did was to put a plate in our room with 7 pieces of berries. In contrast, we stayed at the Four Seasons Marrakech where they filled our room with rose petals and accommodated our every need. Strongly avoid it. There are much better options in Marrakech such the Four Seasons and Royal Mansour. Not worth a single dirham.

Sublime property from entrance, to lobby, hallways, restaurants, spa, pool, and magnificent gardens! The rooms are exquisitely appointed, terraces sizable and perfect for breakfast or an evening tea or cocktail. The staff is impeccable, from head to toe, and in manner and knowledge. Loved our stay!

The hotel is just beautiful. There are special things to discover everywhere. One of our favorites was the secret ice cream parlor in the magnificent garden. Orange trees complemented by the delicate scent of date and birdsong surround you. The staff is also incredibly thoughtful and welcoming. We were so sad when it was time to leave.

The garden, the renovation of the old palace building, the swimming pool, the quality of housekeeping services, the room comfort are top, congratulations. The Food and Beverage dept needs to be better managed: breakfast at a palace cannot have old dry bread offered or uncooked and dry old potatoes in e - but in our case two mornings in a row- offered to customers. And all staff should smile a minimum and clear dishes from guests tables with kindness and care, not just rude promptness. Seafood salad at Italian restaurant - most expensive starter - cannot have undercooked clams or unfresh items to bother stomach later, I was badly surprised. Deserts were amazing but the rest requires double-checking. The policy for late checkout - especially for just 2h extra - by asking the guest to come to the reception desk the day of departure instead of working it out at checkin when requested - is not what one can expect in such premises. This IS a palace, not a mid class hotel. Promptness to answer the phone, especially at the Spa, needs to be reviewed. And apparently there’s is a lack of staff there, seems all is full all the time…disappointing because it is such a fine place and location otherwise. The rest is up to what one can expect or beyond. But these lacks of attention can really generate unnecessary stress and damage a stay which for such a price should be perfect or close to it. Would like to be back to see if things in these areas will improve or not.

Sadly this hotel is extremely over-rated. I stayed for one week at the end of January 2025 and was very disappointed when we were shown to our room. We were led down a set of stairs to the lower ground floor and along a dark corridor. On entry the small room, the walls, curtains and decor were very dark which added to what I would say made for a depressing stay. The space was so limited we even had to put out cases outside on the ledges of the windows. I struggled to even see my clothes in the wardrobe. On the first evening when we closed the curtains the rail fell off the bracket and the curtain rings fell to the floor. No kettle or tea making facilities. I had to call room service to provide these as there was only a coffee machine in the room. We ordered room service for breakfast but there was no table. We just had to sit in bed to eat. There was a very unpleasant smell on entering the room - like rotten eggs. Around the pool, if you were happy to tip heavily then service was excellent. Sadly, I had saved hard for this break and could not afford to tip so had to look after myself, whilst those that had tipped were waited on hand and foot. The spa was usable, but the pool was not very warm, and the jacuzzi needs some refurbishment work as it is very tired looking. Sadly when walking out of the hotel one morning, along a busy main road I was mugged by a man on a motorbike. Fortunately I had a sixth sense but the shock ruined the remainder of my holiday.

We went to Mamounia to celebrate my 80th birthday. The hotel was superb, friendly helpful staff, and we had a fabulous time. On my birthday a beautiful chocolate cake and bottle of champagne were delivered to our room with the hotel’s compliments. We will certainly go again.
