The room was very clean, the bed was very comfy. The breakfast was very bland same both days we were there. The TV only works via internet channels which i find in very poor taste. With the price you pay for these rooms i think they can put actual cable in the rooms with real channels with local and not use free channels like Pluto TV or LG channels. Oh and when i went to call the front desk i had a phone in the room that didn't have a cord so that was unique and useless.

I’ve stayed at Best Western hotels before, so I was not surprised by the cleanliness of my room. The one glitch I had was that my bedside lamp did not work. I’m a big reader so that was important to me. When I spoke to the front desk, they were very friendly and upon returning from dinner, they had a replacement lamp waiting for me.

Breakfast was great, parking was ample, easy on/off to the 70. The only issue I had was around 11:30pm my smoke alarm randomly went off and the property manager couldn’t turn it off. It eventually went off by itself but I had to move rooms. I would have preferred an upper floor room as it was pretty loud in the hallways on the first floor with people who don’t care about other guests. Staff was really friendly and upon checking out, I mentioned to the front desk about the first room, and they said maintenance already took care of it.

The quality of service was exceptional! We had some complications on the Expedia booking end, but from the night desk staff (immediate care and attention) to the GM (follow-up with an Expedia issue), all was handled efficiently and with kindness. The stay was comfortable, too. This site has earned our repeat business (and we are likely to book directly next time.)

Best Westerns are the best ! I've stayed in many across the USA, and loved them all.....Starbucks coffee and tea in the lobby 24/7, nice fruit water with ice, comfortable lobbies you would actually use, great staff, little groceries in the lobby, nice products in the room...

The room was ok, but the bathroom situation was terrible. No room in the bathroom to even get dressed after your shower. The sink being in the room is very inconvenient. And had no room to put anything . The breakfast was very sub par. Nothing was fresh.

I'd rate our stay as good, considering we primarily used the hotel as a hub for showering and sleeping during our trip. The facilities seem a bit outdated, almost as if it were a small local hotel acquired by Best Western. On the other hand, the staff was very friendly, helpful, and attentive. The daily breakfast offered several options, but they were the same every day. The rooms are old but had all the essentials we needed, except for a microwave oven. Everything else was fine.

Great stay. Clean and friendly. The wild rabbits who live on the front lawn was an added bonus!!

A Real 2 star hotel

Room was old, not very clean, had stains and hair left on walls in bathroom. Fire alarm constantly beeping, told front desk, they told us to take out batteries, but the beeping continued. Noise from freeway pretty loud.

We were still charged for our stay even though we decided to not check in. There was a police altercation that was happening outside when we arrived. There were 5 cop cars looking for someone, and we didn’t feel safe about staying at the hotel. We at least expected a refund especially since we NEVER STAYED AT THE HOTEL but they refused to refund. I would recommend a different hotel.

I can't say enough good things about our stay at the Best Western Golden. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff made us feel incredibly welcome—some of the friendliest and most helpful people we’ve encountered at any hotel. There was a gentleman working the front desk who was visiting from another property the owners have, and he was absolutely fantastic. He offered so many helpful suggestions about the area and truly went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. The breakfast buffet was another highlight—plentiful, fresh, and perfect to start the day off right. The location is also ideal. It’s just minutes from downtown Golden and right off I-70, making it super convenient whether you’re heading into town or out for a mountain adventure. If you have a child attending the Colorado School of Mines, I highly recommend staying here. It’s also close to the local mall and several great restaurants and breweries, which makes it an even better choice for families or anyone visiting the area. We will definitely be staying here again!

Very noisy due to inter-state. Breakfast was not good. No microwave in the room.

This is an older property that has been updated well. It is a little loud because it is next to the highway. However, the breakfast is great! The staff is friendly. It was in a good location.
