Room was new refurbished clean well equipped. Beds were somewhat comfortable pillows not so much. Air conditioner very loud. Would stay again good location. Nice staff

The decor is dated but it is a clean, well run hotel. Secure parking is expensive but a bonus

Hotel was fine for our needs. Room was dated but most importantly clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great location! Underground parking was convenient. As good as the hotel was, the attached bar/restaurant wasn’t at all welcoming. It was around dinner time and the place was empty. The server was put out to have us there. There weren’t any tvs or music playing. Just a dead, lousy vibe… Luckily there are other much better options nearby. We would stay there again and skip the bar/restaurant.

The hotel is in a great location with big rooms and a kitchen. It was clean but is dated.

Fantastic location right close to all the sights you want to see in Ottawa. The rooms are quite dated, very clearly renovated in the early 90s, but it adds to tye character. Great value for the price with each room having the kitchenette.

The room was fine other than the lack of outlets to plug chargers in. No USB outlets, and most outlets hidden behind furniture. The restaurant was advertised as Breakfast Lunch and Dinner. Never saw it opened for breakfast.

I will start with the positives. Excellent location right downtown. The size of our room was perfect. We had five people and one cat sharing one unit comfortably. We had a full kitchen which was very important because there isn't any good food in the hotel. The underground parking was convenient even though it is an extra $40 per night charge. Now, unfortunately the negatives were quite glaring. The room was dirty. We don't mind that it's dated by about 30 years. This is different, it was dirty. We found pop bottles and food wrappers under the twin beds. We found a half a slice of pizza in one of the closets. We found two pairs of underwear, a pair of shorts, and some other clothing under a dresser and stuffed behind the bedroom door. There was some garbage on the balcony. There were soap and toothpaste remnants in the bathroom sink and counter tops and mirror. There was no toilet paper in the room at all. The front desk didn't communicate the wifi connection information when we checked in. Honestly, it is inconvenient to have to ask for toilet paper and wifi passwords when going to a hotel. The pet fee is really high at $85 for less than a 3 day stay and even more if you stay longer. The pool is small and the steam room was closed. The pool is nice if there aren't many people but it fills up fast. The kids game room seems to be only for toddlers. Fortunately the location is so good that there are many attractions close by.

As a family of four, we had a great stay. We used the two bedroom suite so the kids had one room and we had the other room. Definitely a dated hotel, but had everything that we needed and everything was clean and taken care of. The pool was great with the hot tub in the sauna. The only thing that was annoying is that we didn’t know that we had to pay for parking separately so that was a surprise that we didn’t enjoy having when we first got there. Other than that, we had a great time.

We picked this place because we needed a reasonably priced large room, as we need three beds. It was located in a quieter part of town, about 15 min walking distance from the places to visit. The room was spacious and there was a kitchenette. It was very dated - like, I felt I was back in the 80's. There were some coffee shops and restaurants at walking distance but no supermarket (for water). Overall it was good value for money but don't expect fancy.

Room was clean and quiet. Water pressure in shower was excellent. Some furnishings, particularly the sofa, needs replacement.

It's an old hotel so expect that old hotel smell. It's clean and has everything like in most accomodations. Location is very good. You can walk to nearby restaurants along Elgin. A few minutes walk to parliament and Byward market. Pillows can be challenging so bring your own. Overall, great place to stay if you're visiting Ottawa and need a place to sleep.
