Excellent buffet breakfast. Very hot room with no air conditioning but extreme heatwave like we experienced is very rare here. Convenient for station, harbour, cathedral, bus transport and walking. Lots of Italian restaurants nearby.

Recently renovated hotel. My room was just completed two weeks ago. Location is fantastic.

The only thing I didn’t like is the bed. It is too soft.

We liked the location for walking. The room was very nicely decorated. The staff very helpful and cheerful. And the meals provided were over the top!!!

The hotel is charming and right in the heart of Trondheim making it very easy to walk almost anywhere. The breakfast is phenomenal.

Walking distances to train and buss service. Walking distance to town centre.

The hotel is nicely located near the the train station and an easy walk to all the central spots. (Note: it is named for the river, not the cathedral - the cathedral is a 5-10min walk away). If you are arriving from the airport, take the train - it costs about £3 and is slightly quicker than the bus. Room wasn't huge but was big enough and it had a decent view over some rooftops to water and hills. It has a kettle and a mini fridge. There are tea bags in the room but more selection in reception and by the breakfast room to take back to the room if needed. The breakfast in the hotel is great - everything you could possibly hope for from cold meats, cheeses, salmon to three or four different types of egg, bacon, sausage, pancakes, vegetables to fruit, cereal, bread and pastries.

Room was very tiny. Carpets in hallways were worn. Staff was excellent!!

Location is great for exploring the city. The hotel corridors are in need of renovation but rooms are nicely furnished and comfortable. Breakfast was great too. It's one of those hotels that won't wow you but serves its purpose!

Good staff, nice shower but bed wasn’t comfortable and there was a noisy bar in the alley outside our window that kept us awake until 1am. There is no AC so we had to open the window to cool the room which made the noise worse.

Arrived late from train. Although there was tea and coffee available there was no milk anywhere. Room itself was well equipped, liked the kettle and fridge. Great breakfast.
