This place is run down property; no one gives any attention to the cleaning; toilet broken; carpet dirty. The hotel also needed renovation from lobby to room. It needs totally gut. The only thing is it is so closer to downtown. You pay what you get.

Room was nice and comfortable the hotel is old and elevator was scary. Employees were nice and helpful.would stay there again

After a delayed flight, we arrived at the hotel for check in. The front desk staff demanded a $100 in cash, saying if we didn’t have cash, we could not check in. We were surprised and stated we prepaid for our room and this hotel has never before required a large cash sum at check in. The front desk staff said the property was purchased by new owners and we either had to come up with $100 cash or he would not check us in. He refused to call a manager, refused to put the deposit on our bank card and refused to refund our prepaid room. He demanded that we use the ATM they have provided in their lobby. When we pointed out that the ATM screen said it was out of service, he said he couldn’t help us and it wasn’t his fault, it was ours for not reading some very obscure fine print in the reservation details. Very disappointing and we were left stranded in the middle of the night after traveling for 20 hours home from a trip overseas. The manager has yet to call us back after two days and we have not received a refund for a hotel stay they refused to let us use. We will never use this hotel again. It’s a shame because it used to be a great deal in the heart of the city and we’ve stayed there several times in the past.

The night cleck was intransigent. I called about my arrival on atramk aroaund 3 am, and he was pushing about arrival time (like I control amtrak trains). Harsh poilicy about x amount of cash deposit against stains on towers and sheets. He lacks manners. The place needs repairs (bath drain didn't work, sink was in bada condition, key cards and lock didn't work properly). If I knew the kind of night cleck's treament to customer, I would never booked that hotel.

I had a room in front of the washer and drier with it running until 12:30 at night and then started at 6:00 am again. Cockroach was in my room and the plumbing was not properly working and ceiling in th bathroom was peeling

UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE... this was a hotels.com will be the cheapest on the Hotels.com listings or always the one with just (1) left, get it now type of deal that literally went up for me moments after I selected it... Sooo many things and reasons it is almost beyond comprehension - in 30+ yrs of fairly regular business travel, the Metropolitan of Salt Lake is maybe my only official review ever... good or bad... it was a 90+ degree day in Salt Lake and Shortly after arriving and releasing my Uber. There was a line of people at a cash machine half a block away when I arrived at the cash machine after I was required to f leave a "cash-only" deposit of $100 (the guy after me had to pay $150, exactly! - zero'sThe hotell mgrs cas

Disappointed. While I am a solo traveler and am on a budget, I’m usually not uncomfortable with motels. But this one disappoints—photos are somewhat deceiving. The reviews are accurate. Pros—location is awesome; price too. Unit not so much. Needs major updating. I even saw a bug 😩 Didn't feel unsafe but there are some shady folks around. No cash deposit reqd but charged my card. Will make sure that it’s returned.

Was an ok place. Good location to get around town fast.

Had to stay here because i accidently booked a leaving flight one day later than i needed. This place was the cheapest nearby, and while they had a sign saying a security deposit was required, it failed to mention how much it would be. Not only that but i had to wait until 3pm to check in, meaning i had to drag my luggage around the city until i was allowed to check in. There was also no soap in the bathroom to wash my hands, and there is a sunscreen for the window, but an actual curtain was broken and on the floor, meaning one of the beds had a light shining on it during it the night, and would make it hard to sleep. Otherwise it is in a convenient location, within walking distance of a tram terminal, and downtown Salt Lake

Very good location but a very badly maintained property. I was scared in the elevator if it will break down and stop. A very low grade motel feel. Staff were nice and the people around the property and hotel were nice too.

this is a great place to save money but for the difference in money you are better off going elsewhere

The rooms look nothing like the photos on their website. The pillows were not real pillows. They were all shredded on the inside. There was a couple of holes in the wall.

My room had no curtain on the window; these are exterior entry motel style rooms. There was a pull down mesh shade, but it was see through in or out. There was also zero hot water in the sink or shower. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom walls were stained and peeling. Th
