Convenience of cheaper parking within walking distance. Issues with our first room. Moved us without any questions.

Clean rooms, staff willing to help. Lots of noise in the room above mine. Water tanks almost empty all the time during the Summer

Don’t let the exterior fool you, the rooms inside are extremely basic, not worth the price tage. Pillows are cheap and you can hear everything through the walls, from your neighbours flushing their toilet or having a shower, to people talking in the halls. It was not a peaceful nights sleep.

The hotel and room were clean. Enjoyed the buffet breakfast. Central location.

The entrance and lobby are very interesting and welcoming and rooms are large and comfortable beds

I loved how big the bathroom area was disappointing on the room for the price we paid also the pool was dissatisfying as there was always to many people and smelled so strong of chlorine so we never went back while we were there for 5 days

Historic hotel close to the Parliament Buildings and the Byward Market area and numerous eateries. The bed was comfortable and it was relatively quiet. Staff were all great ! The Valet parking was somewhat congested but understandable given we arrived the day before Canada Day. The pool at the hotel looked quite cloudy and the hot tub was also cloudy and possibly needed a cleaning. Did not use the hotel restaurant so I can’t comment on it

We loved our room and it had the most comfortable bed. Neither of us could believe how well we slept. The staff was also amazing!

The hotel is conveniently located to downtown Ottawa and the staff were fine. However, I found the rooms to be dark, dated, and they felt unclean. The hotel was undergoing renovations to the exterior and my small window was almost fully blocked by scaffolding. Ottawa was very hot and I felt the air-conditioning was not strong enough.

Two days and one night stay.

Our stay at the Lord Elgin, was one of our best hotel experiences. Thank you it was excellent across the board!
